STARCRAFT MAP CYCLE GUIDELINES:

In order to promote a diversity of maps played amongst these forums, I am going to need your help to showcase maps that surely deserve recognition. If you think that a map is worthy, then it must be! However rules will be set to insure that the maps chosen are of high quality and value.
AWARDS AND PRIZES:

For hard work and creativity, The map creator and participants are to be rewarded with:
1st Place
5,000 Minerals (Plus or minus forum items)
2nd Place
3,000 Minerals
3rd Place
1,500 Minerals

500 Minerals
GUIDELINES:

In order to consider a particular map for a month, we must see to it that the map meets or beats our standards and expectations.
1. No maps that require a modification loaded (I.E. SCMLoader, etc. etc.)
2. Does the submitted maps fit the selected month's theme?
3. Does the map look like a considerable amount of time was placed into it? Are there any grammatical errors in text areas (I.E. dialogue, mission briefings, mission objectives, etc. etc.)
4. Is the map fun and addictive? Does it have an enormous replay value or a great storyline?
5. Is the map balanced?
Guidelines may be changed without notice.
RATING AND JUDGES:

All submitted maps will be judged by specifically selected members from within our forum community and they will be rated based upon four essential factors; Originality, Professionalism, Fun (replayability), and Theme. The number of judges selected will be based upon the time given.
Judges will be selected on a case by case basis, however preferred Judges are members who will not be participating in these competitions or do not have any excess map making background.
SUBMISSION PROCESS:

You may be asking yourself "How do I get my say in this Map of the Month?" Easy! I (or JBL) will start a topic with an attached blank poll. There will be a deadline set and members may choose to submit maps of their own creation for the month. After all entries have been submitted, the poll will be activated and the voting process may begin to select the StarCraft Map Cycle victor!
