its a strangley exactly perfectly straight bolt of lighting that killed LT so it took him almost a WHOLE day to respond to my 'hi! im new and wheres my welcome aboard!?!?!?!?!?!' thread...

Since it's in Zerg territory, I'd guess it's a Zerg building or some Protoss firing down their super weapons of mass destruction on the colonies.
