View Full Version : Help Request: Compression
Ok.. I've made a new awesome sig.. which is 101 frames long and about 3mb large..
I want to compress it without losing too much quality.. any idea?
EDIT: I added the .swf file if someone can convert it into .gif without losing too much quality I would really appreciate..
Thanks.

i'll see what i can do
edit: your current sig is only 200k, do you have another file that's 3mb?
My current sig is only a 16 frames gif that I've made for fun when I started my serious sig... It was only a test..
is there a way to convert like a flash file into a gif.. and compress it a lot without losing too much quality.. because I could make a flash file with Image Ready..
oh and do anyone know if you can export in .gif with Image Ready because right now I have to export the frames and make the gif with another software.

I just hope your sig isn't as creepy as your avatar. Is that from a movie? He looks seriously fecked up.
It's from Aphex Twin's Windowlicker.

there are many programs that converts between flash and gif, personally i use adobe flash cs3 or sothink swf to video converter (http://www.sothink.com/product/swftovideoconverter/index.htm)
Thanks a lot.. It will take much less time than using my other software..
my flash file is 2.5mb .. let's see what I can do with that.
sothink's software gave me a 800kb file... with the super ugly "demo" crap right in the middle and the colors weren't too good.. but ok.. but the animation was played too slowly...
I'll try other ways.

Honestly JBL you lack any sort of tact. It is starting to get annoying.
First the ***** thing now this
it's called art and maturity.. I only use the P word because those who lack maturity reacts to it ;)
edit: I still didn't fix my problem.. I tried sothink, it's the demo and there's a super ugly demo thingly right in the middle.. like I said earlier..
and I don't know how to do it with Adobe Flash (can't export at all and the video encorder cannot open a flash files.

Yeah, cause your sig is the pinnacle of maturity.

Yes putting something up just to get a ceratain reaction out of everyone is real mature.
Of course it's mature.
here, I have a smaller version of the sig... but I would like to put the fullsized one :(
