I liked the emotion in this... captured the Templar mindset quite well and conveyed it to the reader...

This I believe is my second favorite. I misspoke when I typed in the Hydralisk Overrun thread. This poem also struck me as being well crafted. It feels like it was taken right from the pages of a Templar Bible.

Psalm 23, Protoss style. I'm pretty sure I'll be voting for this. This might even be my favorite now that I think about it. The other had a lot going for it, more easily resonating emotion... but this is alien emotion so that's understandable - and the other did have a few hiccups... I don't see any in this - I think mainly because the author didn't try to force a rhyme scheme in. Well done.

me and bizarro were talking about this beforehand and agreed that this was one of the strongest works, but prolly wouldn't get the attention it deserved

if it was up to me, you woulda placed... so if it's any consolation, at least the ppl who did like this reallllly liked it

Well thanks. I suppose that is at least some consolation.

there are a lot of entries which means a lot of competition, and when the majority of judging panel might not have poem writing or reviewing experience the result can be hard to predict.

I still find it sad that 20 people who spent time on their poems can be beaten by the overused "roses are red" poem that takes 30 seconds to write. Even the crappiest poem here had some effort put into it.

that's life man... I don't think it deserved to beat this one... but just because ppl put in more time, doesn't mean their work came out better... I thought that simple piece was pretty good... sometimes simplicity has advantages
