I have the feeling this is beyond 2000 words. But very well written, you have my vote.

The limit was capped at 3000 and 2000 was recommended, also, I did enjoy this piece. It will be getting one of my three votes.

Hmm, a couple of typos, but more description and narrative than dialogue (e.g. it's literary rather than cinematic as so much of video game lore tends to be). This one gets a vote...

well done - interesting themes, good action and tension... got one of my votes

liked the way you included thoughts like this:
Could this, in fact, be a picture of man devouring a
planet, amended only by the fact that men took enough time devouring their
prey that they could laud themselves as rational beings? Could it be
certain that the locusts did no such thing?

Nicely done.
I have only 2 more stories to read and thus far you have captured a story character the best.
I liked the technical bits to the writing, you may have the makings of a fine sci-fi writer.

Not my absolute favorite, but I think it's gonna get a vote none the less.

Very nicely done, I have absolutely no complaints. An exciting, long read and I never lost interest. I liked Almajid's thoughts, they're what made this story even more interesting for me. I also liked the bit about the battlecruiser - that it's Minotaur class and it's weakness of plasma wires and such. Really good work, I can't complain about anything. You got one of my votes.
