Actually it's not. I believe it's 2900ish words.

sc2forum in the Competition thread.
I'm afraid I want to stick with the word limit so people will be more likely to read and vote on the entries. However, with that being said, I am willing to extend the limit to an absolute maximum of 3,000 words if you must, but under 2,000 is still ideal.
Ya.. It's 3000 if you must.

I think this deserves a vote (and since I've got three I feel I should spread the love), but I must cite what I feel is a real lack of character development in this. Not that Starcraft isn't more of an opera anyway, with characters being driven around by greed, fear, and the desire to kill one another. But, in writing there is more room than the limited space of a 32-bit 2D video game, and I would like to see that capability utilized.

good writing - it felt a bit removed, even tho you used different points of view, I didn't see any that felt like you were actually in their shoes - always felt third person.... still, it was interesting and kept my attention - good plotline

Meh.
The change of perspective was at times a bit hard to follow.
The characters you introduced weren't very fleshed out.
The story characters you used didn't seem that true to the real SC.
Some metaphors didn't make any real sense. They were just there for the sake of having figurative language.
I really liked the opening transmission though. After that, the plot didn't much hold my interest.
Not terrible, but not worth a vote either.

A good story and a fun read! I agree with BloodHawk about everything, but I enjoyed it nonetheless and I think it deserves a vote.
