what do you think?
i hope blizzard gives the zerg some heroes in the campaign story of starcraft2.
im not talking about the hunters in sc1, super ultalisk with name, super mutualisk with name etc. just like in sc1.
what i mean is a zerg unique hero like kerigan. maybe a talking more human form of a zerg..heheh. maybe a zerg evolve with more human or protoss like facial features like infested terrans. maybe a new infested duran or something. maybe a trator zealot which is now strong courtesy of zerg mutation. or an alien champion from another minor planet who joined with the zerg. etc.
in starcraft original, kerrigan and the overmind are the only heroes or representative they have and i think thats one reason why zerg campaign in starcraft one is boring. its unfair, because terrans and protoss has cool characters and heroes.
by the way im not talkin about heroes or characters during game play, they could also only be on briefings or cinematics and not in the game.

That's because the Zerg are lizard-insect-alien things that can't talk. It's what makes them different from the other races.
Btw, if you look at the heros in the starcraft original campaign:
Terran heros: Raynor, Kerrigan, Mengsk, Duke
Zerg heros: Overmind, Kerrigan, Daggoth, Zasz
Protoss heros: Zeratul, Tassadar, Aldaris, Fenix
All the races have the exact same number of heros. Granted, Daggoth and Zasz are giant caterpillars that nobody really cares about, but they are in many of the briefings.

Hey! "No-one cares about"?
I loved those guys! =(

Well, Zasz wasn't really, he was dead ;D

Well, for the Protoss, Tassadar died, for the Zerg, Zasz died, and for the Terrans, Kerrigan became infested, so all of the races also lose one hero during the campaign.
And Zasz was in almost all of the briefings before his death... that said, he died in mission 5 or somethings, so that's not a lot of time for him to say stuff.

Well, he didn't really say much if I remember correctly. Daggoth was the one who really spoke and explained stuff.
Btw, Fenix sort of died ;)

But he came back!
Then died again....
I like Daggoth.
Maybe if Daggoth's broods had won the Brood Wars, things would have been a lot different...

Offcourse, everything is different when someone else wins. But did you have a certain scenario in mind?

Daggoth and Zasz? dont remember them. anyway, im in the zerg campaign now in sc original. have to play it again to prepare for sc2. ;D
ow prostoss has the female character and terran has others characters in cinematics, duran etc.
zerg need some new cool heroes in starcraft 2. maybe a recruited hero from other race, maybe a talking critter :P

You're contradicting yourself, because if your in original zerg campaign now, they're talking to you before every mission. You know, not the eye, but the mutated potatoes.

nah, im still at the first mission of the zerg. create a spawning pool and hydra den, and destroy the terrans. no daggot and zasz yet.
im taking only to the eye right now. no kerigan no others etc.
dont jump to conclusion :P

ow that one. is he the eye or the brain? ok sorry. hhmm. not that of a hero tho. terran and protoss have also characters giving tips.heheh.
but i dont see anyone yet but only the eye. hes coming. and he wants the precious :o
overmind

what about a living mass of worm-like things that speak with a disembodies voice? ;D
you could have a sh*tload of abilities according to other heroes and they would be more expendable.
i want to see an infested or traitor protoss
what about a hero representing each cast of species
so a
An overlord hero
hydra hero
a muta hero
a defiler hero (spellcasters)
and an ultra hero
better than the worms stuck in the ground
overmind

the problem is that out of the numerous species that make up the Zerg only a select few are sentient.

No, the 'worms' are for controlling whole broods, you can't make a brood out of a single specie.
And what you say is just like the elites from starcraft; Yggdrasill (overlord), Devouring One (zergling), Hunter Killer (Hydralisk), Kukulza (mutalisk/guardian), Matriarch (Queen), Unclean One (Defiler) and Torasque (Ultralisk)

i see dagoth and zasc now. are they twins? ;D
not good heroes tho. they are just good in briefings. ibut i dont think they fight. come on, new heroes for the zerg. not super units of hydralisk, etc. kerrigan needs companions to talk to, not zerg talk. ;D

No, they're cerebrates, the big poo's like the one you have to kill in protoss lvl 2, every cerebrate looks like that.

wow! cerebrates. they look cool and friendly and harmless and cute. if i was a zerg, i would'nt mind protecting and dying for these cerebrates ;D . there will still surely be cerebrates in sc2, but i hope at least a new hero will reinforce the zerg.

Hahaha, cute or not, those little zerg critters dont have much of a choice. The zerg swarm operates like one organism... all the minions are like the body that does all the action, the overmind is the brain, and the cerebrates are like the nervous system that directs the overmind's will to the minions. The overmind is the consciousness of all zergs, thats why he is called the overmind ;) Hmm, I wonder what the zergs would say if they had their own will.

a protoss would rather die in a puff of psi energy then be infested, so the only real chance of a hybrid is for the zerg to use protoss technology. the zerg know damn well how to take care of a command center, i think they can figure out what to do with those carriers and dragoons and reavers that they find on aiur. with some modifications, of course. an ultralisk with two or three photon cannons sticking out of it's back would be so badass. a carrier filled with those exploding flying guys would be awesome. and i still say that banelings are based off of the protoss scarab. of course, it would be hard to make these, so it would only be for hero units.
The Zerg still can't master the skills needed to infest any protoss structures or units. The queen's infesting CC ability doesn't match the story. A Zerg adds new creatures into their gene pool by burrowing into the new creature's spinal nerve. So how can they infest a whole CC??
Dragoons are all dead and Reavers are robotics. So the Zerg will actually need Zealots or High Templars or Dark Templars or Archons or Dark Archons to assimilate.

ok. i dont like hybrids for a zerg hero. a recruited or a volunteer hero of another species is nice.

Queens can naturally produce bio-toxins that can be unleashed on damaged Terran Command Centers. Once these toxins are released they quickly infest the facility, bringing it under the control of the Zerg.
Infesting a Command Center is a simple process. During your attack of a Command Center, just place a Queen over it and as soon as enough damage is inflicted, the Queen will automatically enter the facility and infest it. The infestation process is very quick and within moments the Command Center will be yours to move and to produce Infested Terrans.
Infest enemy Command Centers whenever the opportunity arises, even if you have no need for Infested Terrans. You have to remember that not only do you gain the Infested Command Center for your own use, you are taking it away from your enemy, perhaps stalling future plans for expansion. On the other hand, if you have a dire need for Infested Terrans, you can also infest friendly Command Centers (an ally's or teammate's) just as well as enemy ones. magic toxins own all

For the zerg elites i always wondered why they couldn't make more for all u need is a gene pool and then get the mass production started anyone care to make an explanation? Always wanted to make those units...
Also is it only me who wanted a hero scourge and a hero infested terran (not kerrigan)?

yes another infested unit. thats one example of heroes for zerg i want to see in sc2. something that is not zerglike, but is only loyal to the overmind or kerrigan. maybe a new alien creature which is kerrigan's apprentice.
