Miles Davis is god!
Btw, if you're into experimental stuff try this: The Kilimanjaroo Darkjazz Ensemble, its the band of a breakcore/jungle/drum 'n bass DJ called Bong-Ra. I saw them live a few weeks ago and I had goosebumps through the whole show

I like the sorta darker, smoother jazz....No trumpets or clarinets....Just the stuff you sorta groove to.

I dunno any specific artists. There's a club I go to chill on Wednesday nights where they play it. You know, it's the kind they play in the clubs where there's like no lights, and the only electric lights are dim purple and red ones, the rest is lit by candles....The black dude in the black mob suit and sunglasses comes out and start freestyling on the tenor sax.
That kind of jazz.

They made it into the playoffs! Woo!
Course, they lost right after, but still. Woo!

Its cool :)
The nice thing about this band is, they have a backup vocalist BUT the trombone is the real star of the band, live it is STUNNING.
yeah it sounds amazing, ive never heard dark jazz before, all jazz is either funky, cool, or free so this is exciting

I'm never angry against internet people, sometimes I just find them foolish ;D
Shall we go ontopic again?
yeah why not,
ive been meaning to buy coltranes later stuff, like sunship and meditations, but they dont sell it in hmv, infact the hmv jazz section is only a third as big the whole rock section.
i Like charles mingus to

i jsut bought ascensions, and ive got to say i dont really know what to mae of it, i dont want to instantly say i like it, becuase im not going to jump on a bandwagon about these sorts of things, but at the same time i do like it a little, but at first listen, it sounds like complete and utter chaos, and thats not helped by the 1 song on the cd being 40 minutes in length, but il listen to it some more and maybe post back
edit 2
i also like kenny burrel, hes got a really nice sound.

Jazz is all I do. When I practice my piano or sax or drums, I don't do all that boring classical and rudiment balongny, i just go on practicing my improvisation :D

I think Jazz is an awesome choice of music but I want to start a thread so everyone in this community can share their favorites to everyone else. I personally enjoy the ones with the most Swing.

full? with 41 pms? I thought mods and hyperion members (aka two things that I am) could receive an infinite number of pms.
kk I'll delete that crap.. thanks.
so yeah.. I'll merge that stuff.. Once I'll be back on windows in 1280 x 1024, I'll be able to clean those social discussion boards.. (I'm stuck on ubuntu in 800 x 600 right now)
