Jim or Mengsk?

While viewing the Artwork trailer for the High Templar bit, I watched the whole way through and saw this picture, puzzling me for a bit.

This can't be Mengsk because there is some artwork on the Starcraft 2 site with an older man with grey hair and beautiful clothing who I'm assuming, is the leader of Korhal.
The only other character I can think of that looks like this is good old Jim.

True this charachter doesnt look too much like the original jim, but I think that since he is now a main charachter, blizzard wanted to make him look more likeable. He looks like he's rugged and has seen battle. This is not Mengsk, this is raynor!

Mengsk always looked like a horse to me, so I see Raynor in that picture. I'm glad that he took care of himself these last few years. I think it's very plausible that it's a new character, but I really hope it's Jim. He shall KILL Kerrigan!

Stress will give you white hair and i bet you he would have more stress than anyone on Earth. I mean Kerrigan Infested, fighting zerg, felix killed by Kerrigan, fighting zerg, organising his raiders for fighting zerg..ect As you can see he has a very stressful life

If you picture him without hair, you can kind of see jim's bald egg shaped head. The unibrow is also slightly visible.

Eh, Kerrigan's probly gonna end up screwing herself over, as i hypothesise Arthas will, since they're exactly the same. And for the record...Stukov all the way!!

I always out of the books and game though Jim was just an average man body wise.
You don't get muscle from riding a Vulture or Battlecruiser.
Don't forget that in Starcraft 1 and Brood War we couldn't see Jim's real hair because it was just stubble. Military hair restriction maybe...?
This is also 4 years after Brood War and he did shatter off from Mengsk. No more military life, or atleast a harder one, because if you've read the Queen of Blades book he does take it easy on his men unlike Mengsk and Duke.

What was Valerian's job or position and age in that book and when did that book take place in relation to BW?

I just recently read it and I have a weird book condition. I read it once and remember NOTHING.
Again and I can name exact things. I started reading it again and I'm only a dozen or so pages in.

I thiiiiiiiiiink it's between BW and SC2 so it's possible for Valerian Mengsk to pop up a few times or be a main character. He has no real love for his father due to Arcturus' interest in politics.

It doesn't say. In a flashback at the beginning Valerien just refer's to her as mother.

Ah, but it COULD be Stukov! He died, but in a bonus mission that was only available on N64 (which is now available on PC), you had a mission with Raynor and some other random dragoon (I think it was praeton taldarin or something like that) you have to go find Stukov, that was regenerated by his infestation, so you find him, administer nanotech medications to him, free him from his cocoon prison and then take him back to home base, so he's not infested anymore, Tadaaa!

Sadly, stukov was against it, since he sought the "power and clear-sight" coming from his infestation.

But hey, who could stay mad at a guy named Aleksei Stukov, with white short hair and who has a russian accent?

EDIT : Nevermind about the white hair, it's dark grey with some white streaks, which makes the odds even bigger ;P

1st. No monobrow.
2nd. not really the same head shape (SC1 is longer)

1st. All the above can change with better graphics and artwork.
2nd. There's a BIG chance it's him, if you follow the storyline.

I originally thought it was raynor and I still believe it is, but another possibility could be another commander of a fleet from the UED? The picture gives some kind of vibe like "lost but not defeated," and "calm and ready for anything." which is why i think it is still raynor. Just my thoughts...

by the way sarah is 27 years old in broodwar, and that makes her 37 in sc2.

Ahem... 1st of all, it could also Not be jimmeh. 2nd of all, what's wrong with being 2 years older? and 3d of all, I think the SC2 artwork looks way better than the old bald jim. Besides, it's very possible to have white hair at the age of 40, especially when your favourite occupation is choking bullets down a zergling's throat.

The Zerg just wouldn't randomly pop out of existance because of Kerrigan's death. As far as I remember, Kerrigan doesn't have any lieutenants to take over and if she dies, I'm guessing the Zerg will go into a horrible rampage like when Zasz died and his brood went berserk.

Fairly sure it's Raynor because of the Artwork Video. That picture is shown at the end after a long pause in quick succession to Kerrigan. In his little icon picture in starcraft it already seemed as though he was graying a bit. So not that far off. Besides if it is infact 10 years later grays around 40 isnt too surprising. Not to mention the stress of what he does.

It's either him or Stukov. As in the n64 v they returned Alexei to human form. Who knows though? Blizzard. Thats who.

I mean if they have some distinguishing feature, then sure (scaly dreadlocks are pretty distinguishable). But facial structure? You're giving the mini-portraits too much credit.
