Topic with information of the heroes who are or might be in starcraft 2.
All the information posted is speculative and open for debat. And don’t forget I can always modify their info.

Protoss:

Zeratul

Nothing is known about his role in starcraft 2, but the fact that he had the leading Protoss role in brood war makes his return quite certain.

Artanis

Nothing is know about his role in Starcraft 2, but the fact that he had quite a big role in starcraft gives quite a chance to see him back in Starcraft 2.

Unknown Protoss commander (Mothership captain?)

Character that starred in the gameplay demo. Nothing More is known about this character.

Infested Kerrigan

Nothing is known about her role in Starcraft 2, although its certain she’s gonna have a big role again. She also stars in the cinematic trailer, the artwork trailer and a piece of artwork. In the artwork shes laying on the ground without her ‘wings/spines’ (which she does have on the artwork trailer) and less scaly than before (but keeping the filthy colour and the dreadlock like hairs), maybe a chance that something is gonna happend that will revert her to a human?

Nothing is known about his role in starcraft 2, but seeing he had a big role in Starcraft and the fact that there’s a piece of artwork that is probably him he is probably gonna return.

Nothing is known about his role in starcraft 2, but he had quite a big role in Starcraft and theres a piece of arwork which almost certainly is one of Mengsk.

Gestavil? Gastovil? Please help me on this one.
Nothing is known yet about this terran commander except the fact that he starred in the gameplay trailer.

Probably a new big player in the Starcraft 2 story, stars in the cinematic trailer and even has a statue up for sale.

Nova

Star of the postponed/cancelled Starcraft game 'Ghost". Nothing is known about her role in Starcraft 2 and even how the big the chance is that she's gonna be in the game.

Samir Duran

Character from unknown origin, Possibly a Xel'Naga. Tells Zeratul about the hybrids in the secret protoss mission. Probably a major character in Starcraft 2.

Speculating. This one and Kerrigan where shown after each other after a break in the artwork trailer. I think raynor has the biggest chance to be this guy ;) And when it turns out that it isn't raynor I can always change it.

commanders and admirals carry a sword as a symbol of commanding power.

as far as the Jim Raynor debate is concerned, of course that is jim raynor. He swore to kill kerrigan, and his face is shown right before her's in the trailer. no doubt in my mind.

The storyline for ghost was you were trained by an evil empire (possibly the dominion) and only after a few missions do you question your role in things. You then join a group of rebels (probably mengsk). This girl could be nova.

Man, I almost am ashamed to say this, but Nova had quite perky breasts in the ghost trailer, and this one isn't really that wellrounded...

Well all im saying is it could be her, but its not like it even matters if shes in the game or not. We don't really know her. (unlike the characters that we have come to love like raynor, zeratul, etc.

don't really know about season finale, in the netherlands most series are discovered like in season 3 and 4 (except for big stuff like 24, Lost and Prison Break) and first 3 seasons are broadcasted non stop untill the reached where the american market is now and then they start buying new stuff and announcing new seasons and blabla.

one thing about starcraft:ghost being delayed indefinitely that I like:
if it comes out sometime in the future, there will be one big, HUGE benefit to us all....better graphics ::)...maybe some mortal kombat:deadly alliance physics in the whole upper chest region if you know what I mean ^^ hahaha ok enough of being a creep

ok but back to the topic at hand, I think Findlay will be one of Mengsk's marines that you use in the first few levels, and that he will be incorporated into the whole big picture when Mengsk sends Findlay on a mission to stop Raynor or something and he switches sides

But I still think that unit is just a Ghost, except for Kerrigan and Nova they all wear suits completely covering their body.

I think it's a robot designed as Mengsk's (Or whoever it is) bodyguard. Since Kerrigan's betrayal, he might be unwilling to rely on a ghost for protection. A robot, on the other hand, couldn't betray him, since it would be programmed to follow his orders.

True, he was such an asshole for leaving her down there. I always found it funny to fortify my base heavily and listen to kerrigan call for help, when in reality the zerg were getting slaughtered to my 30 siege tanks XD

She did in Episode VI. Remember when you slaughtered General Duke?

Man, again, she was infested, shes nothing like the old Kerrigan anymore. Not trusting ghosts because a infested one betrayed you is quite stupid.

It's not that he wouldn't trust ghosts just because one betrayed him. Mengsk might be paranoid after being betrayed by Kerrigan and Raynor (Who DID betray him in Episode I, though he did have a very good reason to do it), so he wouldn't want his bodyguard suddenly knifing him.

A robot could be programmed to do that too... you have to trust the people around you a bit if you're an emperor (offcourse keep your eyes open). And again, Kerrigan wasn't a human, so I don't think her betrayal made him paranoid about his bodyguards.

The only robot we will ever see in starcraft is that awesome talking terran computer. God I love that voice. Oh, and robots are a protoss thing, not terrans.

fenix and duke were killed in broodwar werent they? (havent played it in a few years so i might not be remembering corectly) as for the others, its almost inevitable that they come into the game, the thing is that thier roles are very predetermaned by the storyline in SC and BW so we would have to see some new characters (the terran and protoss comanders shown above as well as the person behind mengsk) to add some originality and flare to the storyline rather than just watching the inevitable conflict between raynor and mengsk and kerrigan and zeratul. any thoughts..?

but what i think is most important is that Heroes should have different figures distinct from the units.

like in the first sc. jim raynor is a marine and a vulture. duran is a ghost. and most of the zerg heroes have the same figure as the original units.

they should have different figures. like kerrigan. she is a different figured ghost. and in infested form she doesnt relate to any of the other zerg units. this should apply to all heroes in sc2
