I am hoping for release on 1st April 2008 though because that marks the 10 year anniversary of starcraft 1

Theres no way blizz would be able to ship the game without one store leaking it XD.

I pretty sure Blizzard knows exactly when the game will be released, they are just not telling us. Major chain outlets would have set up a deal with Blizzard already or something. BTW I asked EB games and they told me it's 1/10/08.

I think they might even go for the "midnight launch" thing where fans starts to camp outside the store on the evening of 30/9/08, and rushes in to buy the game as soon as it strike midnight....

Actually no it wouldn't. I personally think April Fools Day is a dumb "holiday" and just gives people an excuse (like they need one) to be unfunny assholes.

yeah, i also think so. at least make it within our lifetimes. hahaz... with the new protoss units and everything (hope you guys saw the pc gamers' leaked video, it pretty much rocks), i don't deny that they're going to have a damn hard time balancing the game. not to mention weeks and weeks of testing the game to see if it's perfectly balanced.

but yeah, if they really need so much time to perfect the game, so be it man. even if it takes 2 years. but hopefully not longer.

I'd bet it on April 1, 2008 for it's 10 year anniversary (hey april fool's day too!) and it seems like a reasonable amount of time. I mean c'mon it's been since after WCIII they've been working on this. I'm sure the story has been written since that time.

well i would like sooner just like everyone els. but i would like a game that can be sc/bw exessor more, so i will wait as long as i have to and not complain, i mean other than scg >_> they havnt let us down to terrible ever, sure there not great with realeases, but there not bad either the games almost always live to the hipe. :]]

I pre-bought my Starcraft 2 at EBgames.com and they had a release date of October 2008 (estimated)....I really hope it is sooner than that
