The protoss has 2-3 weapons andtiTerran.(warp-ray vs battlecruiser and imortal speciali 4 the siege)
I can't take it anymore, I wold realy love to see a terran "weapon of mass protos destruction" :)) im just joking
i don't like it to have all weapons aimt at the terran i would really want to see units that are speciali made to counter prottos units beside rolling zerglings.
Any ideas of antitoss units are wellcome ;D

The warp ray is a myth vs BC, the warp rays would have to out number the BC´s by like 5. That video showed a noob siege tank assault, keep marine with your sieges at all times.

And yes, EMP.

I know of the EAP, but a question for terran players woldnt u like to see a special unit beside the EAP ans lock down designt to kill prottos

I would love to, but for now I can handle eveything new they have shown for the toss, I can only imagine the ownage their gonna get when they release fresh weaponry for the terrans.

you guys need to realize jsut how big these changes actually are, the game will be nearly completley different, only one or two of the old stratagies will be possible, and even then i higly doubt it.
So jsut sit back, wait till we get some new info.

Yup, I got a doubt, what is this I keep hearing about the toss loosing their carriers in SC2. Is it true?

more than likely.

the protoss get a new flyer with many special abilitys in the form of the mothership

the also get the warpray
and the colussus

the colssus is smillar to the carrier in two ways, its ability to attack at range, and its ability to go up cliffs like a flyier.

It is also simillar to the reaver in its ability to kill multpile units pretty fast.
now the warp ray takes another flyier spot, and uses the ability of the reaver as a seige unit.

the arbiter/shuttle/phaseprism/warpgate also fits into this tapestry of rebalancing

i dont really want to explain it ALL to you, but i must stress this is only my opinoiun and mine alone, im sure other peoples will differ.

Well i must say, now that I see all the new units they get like this, no wonder the carrier is gone xD. Thnx for the update on that.

if you watched the video, most of the terran units designed to counter the protoss are light ones (reapers vs. immortals, marines vs warp rays), in this case, heavy losses are unavoidable on the terran side, looks like they plan to bring back the classic outnumber-the-protoss strategy. Still it would be nice to see heavy units added to the terran arsenal.

Warp rays shouldn't be a problem, last time I checked it only requires one yamato gun to destroy this unit. what I'm concerned about is the protoss phoenix, their overload ability seems pretty powerful against closely alligned enemy air units, plus it doesn't require them any energy to perform this.

Also, I think they should increase the firing rate of some terran units, especially the Siege Tanks as it takes them too much time (5 seconds) to fire their cannons. and also a little improvement for the battlecruiser's normal attack firepower. Its a good thing though that they enabled the missile turret to fire at ground targets.

BCs with defense shield and yamato cannon :D

besides... warp rays and immortals are not necessarily anti-terran, they are more like specialists that's designed to kill a particular kind of unit.

Carrier is not gone, folks, check the Tempest, the new video leaked.
Anyways, I'm a Terran guy myself (i <3 BCs), but these Protoss units are making me drool.
What I really wish was we could get a crappy (but still there) shield for the BCs. It always made me mad when I would click on the BC and hear "Shields Up!" and they would just sit there with no shields. The very first time I played with BCs I sat there for like five minute trying to figure out how to turn on the shields :(

yeah, alot of waht i said above is actually jsut wrong, so ignore it, carriers (although maybe slightly weaker) are still in the game the same as reavers.

The terran definitely need some more combat units. Right now the protoss is ownage, but I have no doubt that the terran and the zerg will pull through.

maybe Blozzard will hear my screams $#%#^%#$^& and stop making videos whit terrans getting ownage by the protoss :)).The idea of firebatreapper is cool and a ittle shild 4 the BC would be nice.Blizzard did a nice job with the toos, a lot o nice new and old (modified) units.And im glad that the carrier aka tempest is still in the game

Um, missile turrents cant hit ground units now, only the colossus as its tall stature allow them to fire at it.

still I think Blizzard should consider giving Terrans additional defensive structures other than the classic rocket turret and bunkers. Bunkers could be a very effective ground/air defense but building many of these could downsize a Terran player's ability to build additional units for combat

Considering the craziness they're adding to the Protoss, a few more defensive structures for the Terran (and Zerg) seems like a very reasonable wish.

yes the terran will get new strong units too. and the new goliath will counter all enemy air units.

and the emp shockwave nuke combo will seal the deal.

blizz should make the nukes real pwnage. After a nuke goes off, it should send out huge emp wave and radiation **** that slowly kills or damages units.

hell yeah it would, and i'm pretty sure Goliath's alone are going to be buffed as one of the main Terran AA units

A rocket launcher that is light enough to be carried by 1 person who walks on foot would probably do no more damage than 20.

20 is a lot more then the basic 6 from SC1 :)
but we all have seen the cinematic triler how they build marines, in the suits, these wariors are stronger, so a rocket launcher is very propable and do you all remeber the intro to broodwar ? there was a marine wyth a rocket launcher :)

On SCG the firebats seem to be able to launch rockets from their twin perdition plasma-based flamethrowers, so who knows? The firebats may be turned into a demolition unit.

You need to take in consideration that constructing a marine costed only 50 minerals in starcraft 1. And I predict that in starcraft 2, it will also cost 50 minerals, (nothing has been finalised yet). So a marine with a rocket launcher will definitely cost more than 50 minerals. That defeats the purpose of having a cheap and basic unit right at the start of the game for Terrans.

True, launchers should only be limited to Space Marines. Anyways, EMP + Lockdown + a couple BCs + nukes is an instant toss killer.
