I really hope they allow you to spectate in starcraft 2

I don't mean just random people joining and watching, but I remember playing with my friends, then dying, but my friend still doing well and I was forced to leave the game

it would be cool if you could sit and watch the game until it finished or however long you wanted to...and of course not let spectators chat with those who are still playing

I agree, but I think that dead players should be able to speak to the live players, like on counter strike.

Don't know about that, because people can spoil the game by spamming and telling secrets (stuff the other guy doesn't see because of the Fog of war)

As I said, same as CT :P

No, because you say that in CT dead people could talk to live one, and dead people can spoil the game.

yeah that's called "ghosting" ghost ;D and it is highly frowned upon on the few servers that allow it...

but that just gave me an idea, what if it was something the creator of the game could decide if he or she wanted or not? like allowing ghosting or not allowing it?

it would have to be something like you can only ghost for a teammate when the opposing player also has a dead teammate to ghost for him, so that it would be like an intelligence-recon sort of thing and the dead players could ping areas on the map

The way to do this is probably record the game in the comp, then any dead player can watch the game when the match is over.

You can watch a lot of starcraft games on national television if you live in south korea ;)

Maybe remaining players just choose whether or not so share vision and chat with spectators.

:)

Well, maybe if the "Ghost" can only see what the live players on his team are seeing.

Yeah but that doesn't let you know what is happening as it is happening...lets say you die and your friend survives and wins in the end...then you'd have to watch the rest of the game afterwards before you could discuss

I for one have been in many instances where I finish the game then discuss all the ins and outs, highs and lows, and the "OMFG I'M SCREWED" and "HAHA! TAKE THAT!" parts after a game

I agree, just like sport, it is a lot more fun watching it live because you feel like being part of it. :)

As we get closer to the release date of SC2, can someone please remember to ask the admin if we can have a special section for people to post up their game videos and members can view it :) I have a pretty bad memory.
