about a 9:1 payout with just the correct numbers.
but that is base digets without the extra money from tickets

makes a need of 180 tickets bought for a even payout rate on the just correct numbers so that seems fair (ish), but with correct order it goes way up to 5040 needed tickets for the same 1:1 payout rate or like 28:1 with the same 180 tickets.

alright here are the statistics for this game if you wish to know them:

- 210 possiblilitys makes a 10.5:1 payout rate as the base payout rate (every 10.5 minerals you spend avg's to 1 mineral in prize)

- with the current amount of tickets bought (69) the current payout rate is 4:1 meaning it is still a bad investment at this time.

- need 380 tickets bought before an even payout rate 1:1 any more makes it a good payout rate.
this translates to prize money of 10500 or more for this to be a good investment.

if you lower the cost of tickets to 25 and make it 100% value goes to jackpot this would almost be a fair lottery

Hey what if no one wins and some people get like three numbers right or two numbers right they could have what 25 minerals for each Number and like the Jackpot number is 1-2-3-4 and you get 1-3-10-4 you don't get anything unless you get 1-2-3-5 then you get 50 minerals (First Number doesn't count) and if you get this 1-5-3-4 it doesn't count you must get them in order.
I hope this helped and I hope it gets used it'll make more people buy the tickets and participate...This doesn't take away from the jackpot.

Not really. Reall lotteries have a one in xmillion chance to win but they are run for communities with several million people. Here we have a 1:5040 chance for under 2000 members so technicly we have less chance of winning

Lich he probably used 10 nPr 4 instead of 10 nCr 4 which you used. It really depends on how sc2 set up the lottery system but it appears oreder doesnt not matter when you buy your ticket so I would say that 10 nCr 4 is approproate. Which means if you buy just one ticket you have a 1 in 210 chance of winning. Like you said.

what's up with the lottery numbers? The winning ones have all been between 5 and 10. THe last draw numbers were 7,8,9,10. What are the chances of that!

The chances are exactly the same as any other combination I think
assuming it'd be perfectly random, which it isn't, but I belive it's close enough

Well, if you buy 5 tickets, you have a nearly two percent chance, which is pretty awesome for a prize that big, in my opinion.
