Now I have to type something to make the quote legitimate... hm... ah yes, I am hoping for those icons, but I won't slit my wrists if they don't get in. Any change the admin sees fit is just fine. It would be another item to own... which would be kind of good because right now there's only 2 collectible items to own, which might be a bit boring for newcomers (especially since we're constantly getting them at an increasing rate)

After pressing ctrl+f5 I was amazed at the overhaul, the changes are very promising, especially the colour scheme... it's now colder and spacier ;D
I'd like to note that the left side with the users lights up if you move the mouse over just one item (I don't think it's meant to be like that) and that the mouse-over texts aren't as smooth. Maybe the mouse-over shouldn't follow the cursor?

I guess I could grow to like the new layout, but it should at least have that user panel and other menus at the top of the page like it used to. You know, where it has Home, Forum, Members, Search, Arcade, etc, and just below it where it has View Unread Replies and Posts Since My Last Visit. When I move the cursor over 'View Items' or 'Send Minerals', 'Posts' and the power level arrows light up. Also, if you're moving the cursor along them, the animated avatar stops which I don't remember seeing before, only when I scrolled the page (which now seems to work). And the mouse-overs just stutter as if it was eating away my CPU resources :D

Isn't it just as easy to have it at the top of the page? Otherwise you're constantly having to show and hide the sidebar every time you want to see replies or messages. Recent topics and polls could still be down the side and hidden because you only really look at that once each time you come on. I'm probably just getting pedantic. I know that the site's layout is still under construction, but I feel that the user bar (and the other blocks) at the right should be transferred to the left side. Also will the forum's original portal page be removed and replaced with the one on the current front-end? It is kind of weird having to see two portals.

Along the top is more convenient, you just scroll up and you're there. Now it's hidden just below the top right-hand corner. Is there a possibility of having the option to use the old layout for conformists like me?

It seems whenever there's a mouse-over (buttons, pets, collectibles) all the links on the page 'light up'. It might mean something to you... Maybe that's the reason the text is choppy.

They weren't just for showing off, I saw them as visual proof of my participation in the forum. Since they don't appear in normal posts, I feel like thier value was diminished.

While I see where you're coming from, there's 'too many' ways of earning minerals to automatically associate items to contribution. But yeah it'd be nice if more were to be displayed, although with 5 collectibles there isn't much space for pets. Maybe the icons should be shrunk to fit more items in the post.

Yes, the chat has been removed from the site as of right now. I'm sure the admin will bring it back up considering how many people used it but that probably won't be till all of the remodeling is done.

Guys. Please give it a couple of days before any serious comments or complaints are made about the new layout of the site.

The admin is only about 60% done with the changes, not even the moderator access panels are functioning yet, so it's nowhere near done.

But posting here with every glitch and update that's occurring on the site when each of these will be fixed very shortly is pointless. Give it a couple days, when the design is declared finished, then bring up these major problems. Thank you!

P.S. This isn't to discourage you from talking about major things that need a rework immediately, but please don't say anything about stuff not lining up, like pets. :D Thanks.

Are those picture ads?  God I hope those are temporary.  The textual ads I could deal with because they matched the forums being text and all but the reds and the yellows and other bright colors look horrid on a forums made from gerys and blues.  Even the reds and oranges here are subdued.

I like the what it says for the online offline status but the way the top gets brighter when somone is online looks bad. You should have the rank box light up but leave the rest as is

The calendar I removed because I don't think it was used much if at all.
I use it to see upcoming events, or Birth-days so I can send Presents. So I think it would be helpful if you put it back. Thanks SC2. On and SC2 did you receive the PM for that Wallpaper and Website building tips? My Web browser usually lags so sometimes, my posts won't show up or PM won't send.

Just to make sure you know it's not that he didn't want to but he couldn't right? He ran into some serious problems with the scoring system and he couldn't figure out how to fix it so he felt this was the best solution.

Ok, thx for the info ssj. I thought he decided not to include it, I didn't relize that he had errors with it. At least now we can now add a whole bunch of games that we couldn't in the original arcade.

I like the idea of the system online/offline thing, but I would like it to be a smidgeon more noticeable when someone was online...there is no real easily recognizable difference between when people are online or not....maybe an orange border around the words "system online" when they are online or something to make it more easy to pick up on

Yea if it says Online it should be green, when it says Offline it should be White, there should also be a Banned which should be in red, and a Busy in Yellow.

The ones with Do Not Double Post, X Minerals for a Good Post, Duplicate Topic, etc. etc. You will get an Error 404 message when clicking on the white box for moderator comments (and codes.)

The new Online/Offline notices are definitely easier to see. I really don't mind it because I use the Who's Online link view.

The homepage and gallery are awesome but the actual forum section is too rigid with the new sidebar makes formatting bad since if you format for the sidebar to be open makes it look bad when the sidebar is closed and vice versa. Also the lack of space and the fact that half of my monitor is unused eats at me and is considered bad site design.

Also I still wish we had HTML allowed in posts since it is a whole lot more effective at formatting posts. When werip an item of Starcraft 2.com the way the pictures fit in makes BBCode formatting a nightmare due to lack of functionality.


Yes I know HTML can be abused but we have very good moderators who would clean it up quickly and I don't think we have enough asshats for it to be much of a problem

So yeah when exactly did Netflix''s latest deals become news?

would it be possible to make a seperate section for sidebar advertisements so the news tickers still get exposure.  Not everyone refreshes the page 20 times a miunute and because of this they could miss important news (along with this I thing more news items would be in order like say the topics of the las 5 news posts being inserted as news tickers.)

Also I am sure if the ads had a separate spot you would get more money because theads would have more exposure.
