How did Infested Kerrigan get Psionic Storm?

because she owns XP lol nah. i think she got it during the transformation. like the zerg stole some protoss technology maybe. or they used their own technology and she got it. she also had some ability as a terran i think. was it that she was able to read minds? i thought she had telepathy. i not really sure how she got it. i think it explained it in the campaign.

Kerrigan was a ghost, after all. She had elevated psychic abilities that were being 'shut off' by the Terran Ghost Program. Whenever she was transformed by the Zerg Overmind, all the restrictions on her true power were released, and bam! Infested Terran Pyschic Kerrigan.

Technically they weren't released when she was infested. If you remember in sc1 original theres a mission during the zerg storyline where you infiltrate a terran sci vessel so that she can find out how to shut off the barriers that they placed in her mind as a ghost to prevent her from becoming "to powerful".

well, maybe since Kerrigen was a ghost. ghosts also has this psi abilities like the protoss only the terran had to control it. maybe when she was maturing in her cocoon, she managed to fully manifest her power.

And I think that Kerrigan's powers were unlocked during the transformation to Zerg. She gained a crapload of strength physically, why not psionically too? And since it's a communal mind type thing with the Zerg, any Zerg that knew how to psionic storm would impart the knowledge to the Queen of Blades

Yeah wasnt she like, an uber ghost due to experiments with the Zerg and her by the Confederates? Her psionic powers were through the roof if she unlocked the barrier blocking them, on top of the 10 fold increase in all types of strength and abilities she got by being infested, I think Psi Storm is reasonable.

Now, blizz probably WAS a little lazy, but if Kerrigan utilized Psionics, wouldn't Psi Storm be the best choice anyways?

I always thought it was gay that kerrigan had psi storm, it would have been better if they gave her another ability because even the most powerful human psykers shouldn't be comparable to high templar.

I think they just gave it to her because she was a melee hero, but melee units tend to horrybly die and its hard to keep them safe, specially if they are surrounded by a swarm of lings and they cant escape. So they decided to give it to her to make her more useful. I think its cool, cos she kind of stays behind her attacking broods giving support. I think its nice also because she has 4 abilities, one of each other race and 2 zerg ones. And almost all of them are complementary.

I dont really care or mind if kerrigan has psi storm. It's pretty neat. The only thing i want them to change is to have psionic storm be like a bolt from the sky strike down on the ground several times, the SC1 psi storm looks like... well it's awkward.

You are not entirely wrong out there, whilst she did gain huge power (in addition to her already formidable abilities) with her transformation, the Ghost Conditioning that restrained her powers while Terran was still active. That's why she assaults the Amerigo, learning how to remove the Conditioning and unlocking her absolute power (the Psionic Storm, somehow...)

Yeah, she gained the Psi Storm after her trip to the Amerigo and removed her Ghost Conditioning. Why it's only the Psi Storm I can't guess... from someone like Kerrigan, I would've expected something much more sinister/powerful, like a mind control or an instant kill of some sort.

the zergs were created by the xelnaga after all same goes for the protoss so probably the zerg has some psionic abilitties hidden in them......ooooooooo O_o

Haven't you played the starcraft campaigns? in starcraft original, shortly after you gain control of kerrigan, there's this mission where you have like some lings (mostly used to consume with kerrigan) and 2 hunter killer, you are in a terran lab or something and you gotta get to the computer to learn how to cast storm.. somehow...

I don't know much about the campaign so I'm not sure exactly why the terrans have psystorm in their comp.. but I thought everyone knew about this mission.

It's not that they had instructions on how to cast a psi storm, they had information about how to remove Kerrigan's Ghost Conditioning, and it was Kerrigan's own psionic powers that allowed her to psi storm.

Because all Psionic Storm is is manifesting your psionic power into the form of a storm, it isn't just a Protoss thing, its a thing ANY powerful psychic should be able to do, but all ghosts have a chip or something like that in their brains that limits their potential.
