Hey everyone,
Just wanted to see if anyone planned on upgrading their comp or buying a new one SOLELY to play SC2 maxed out in every regard! I am personally buying a new desktop comp (I have a laptop that isn't easily upgraded!!). So let me know what your plans on and we can swap component part system ideas.

My friend has told me that it will cost 600$, but i am not sure that is correct.

Interesting...I've got about 1k to spend, but may wait until I start working so I can get a ridiculously overpowered setup that will be obselete in four years. ;)

Just a few questions: Are you planning to build this yourself or do you want a pre-assembled one? Like from Dell, HP, big companies like that?

Since I'm in college, and therefore broke, I'm just keeping my same computer and pray to God that SC2 will run on my computer. If not...then I am screwed!

Ok, that's a pretty good deal, but be wary. I'm not sure if Gateway allows you to customize your computer by adding parts, but I know other companies with pre-assembled computers like dell does not allow you to by putting these weird pins on the back instead of regular thumbscrews or normal screws. Also, with dells, i'm pretty sure you can't overclock anything at all from the bios.

Not really. My dad is retireing this summer, and I have 2 younger sisters who will need money for college as well.
Since I go to an out of state university, it's pretty expencive. But the university is well known in the engineering world, so it's worth it.

true, but we all don't know that and it was good to know that so thanks, and it seems that they are all sold out now except:
