I think it will end up being the stalker thing. sure it call teleport and stuff but it looks to weak.
what do you think?

XD I don't know why but the way you phrased the question made me chuckle. Makes it sound like every toss unit will be made of epic win and asking which will be the less epic. But as for the question, it's kinda hard to answer. I'm assuming that you're asking which unit will be least used in actual gameplay, and to that I'd say the mothership. Not only is it high tech (games may never reach that far since Blizzard is focusing on varying rush strats), but unless Terran loses emp and lockdown, Zerg loses scourges and plague/darkswarm, the ms seems too easily countered. Making the ms immune to abilities would most likely overpower it, so I can't imagine that happening. Therefore, unless toss somehow gets a restoration kind of ability, I can't really see the ms being used very much.

You are so wrong. A probe in lingerie with no shield, and who also has surrendered he/she/it's ability to mine for the ability to wear lingerie.

The stalker seemed pretty good against air. 16 shots took down a battlecruiser. So 16 stalkers would take down 1 battlecruiser in one burst. And they fired pretty fast against air.
I think that Immortals will not be used much. They have a very specific role in taking out units that deal lots of damage however their attack is pretty slow and seem to be pretty easily destroyed as long as people mix units and don't just mass seige tanks or other high damage units.

anyways, i don't know enough about SCII protoss yet to judge. but from SCI, i'd say dragoon. they are too big. trying to croud them into an enemy base is fastest map, is like death. half of them die on the way in.

i agree with paragon. i don't think people will mass immortals like people mass dragoons. they might mass stalkers though. i mean once you get "blink" you can just micro around the opponents minerals and literally obliterate their economy.

Not really if some guards their main, with say siege tank or even bunker near their miners covered by one or two siege tanks, a small troop of Stalkers would be eaten alive. (Their HP and shields are very low, they would die in two direct siege shot blasts)

Someone mentioned that fastest maps won't be used in SC2, since the layout will be like WC3. In ladder, they won't use them, and in custom games, people wont play melee maps. Anyways, I think the Immortals are alright later on when many big hitters are used.

trrruuuueee. smaller, less range, less damage and splash
but you can mass them? prism + reaver drops frontline, kill small masses, immortals finish off

That would be me.
Problem with immortals is the small attack units like reapers or zerglings rip them to pieces easily because their hardened shield doesn't activate.

eh i think the immortals are still more like the dragoons. The dragoons weren't very effective either against small units either like the zerglings. I think the immortals would be in the same support role as the dragoons backing up the zealots. I mean now you have the stalker also which was dubbed the dark dragoon. Does anyone know whether the immortals can attack air units also?
I personally think the warp ray os the least best Protoss unit lol. I'll prolly use the phoenix more for anti air cause I think building a lot of them (like 12+) for anti-fighter is the way to go and capital ships can only kill one at a time anyways. Warp rays are there just for support at the most.

How are they useless? Their attack is awesome. If their aren't any big units, have them target buildings. Basically just don't get them vs Zerg.

eh it seems like they were promoting the warp ray in the first gameplay footage against capital ships like the battlecruiser.

That makes me think just how impractical it is (The carriers, if thats what you were talking about). Sure the carriers did thier damage, but there was a **** load of them and all it took was a few ghosts and goliaths to take them all out. And you can only have 1 MS. So i think that that video made me agree that MS is gonna be the worst protoss unit in SC2.

The mothership is going to be the weakest ;) I can't really judge by the gameplay video because they were pretty much all pitted against their biggest weaknesses and strengths. Plus, it's way early to know how things are going to work out. Hopefully every unit has it's place on the battlefield.

Honestly, I don't think the mothership will cost a ton like most people are saying. If it is indeed susceptible to all these said counters, it'll probably cost about the same as a carrier maybe slightly more cause of the cool spells.

If supported properly, the Mothership should be one of the most powerful units in the game. Not to mention, lets say your fronting several attacks from different locations at once. Drop at one base assualt with main force at his main base, and an attack on an expansion with the mothership, and its laser turret. With basic base defenses, the mothership should be able to clean take down an entire defended base on its own. Not to mention a well timed black hole could cripple your opponents air fleet. Also due to the fearsome nature of the MS's abilities, you can also you use it as a decoy. Imagine a fleet of 20 hallucinated motherships?! Your opponent would be so freaked out that they would waste their army attacking the decoys while your main army cleans up. The mothership will have its uses.

The blackhole spell will be a serious balancing issue. Don't be surprised if the span of the black hole is decreased sometime after the games release.

When this day comes, it'll be the day i make the biggest Cruiser fleet i've ever made and the same day i'll end up punching my comp screen, and the same day where I shoot like a billion Yamatos at one time at one single unit i will loathe until SC3

I can't tell which one is the least useful right now but there are units with certain weaknesses
Phoenix - weak against ground
Immortal - low mobility
Mothership - only 1
Soul Hunter - the protoss's vulture......vultures were quite useless in SC1
I'll add to this list as more comes to mind :)
