View Full Version : Where did Executor go?

From the moment executor (player in fact) leaves conclave all mission briefings are done on Gantrithor, but in the last mission of original sc Tassadar pilots this ship and rams overmind with it, so it's unlikely Executor was on board (he survived after all). Any ideas where was he during the mission?

A space platform maybe?

commanding the protoss forces that were killing daggoth in the previous mission for the 192,327th time because he was too lazy to properly kill it with a dark templar

I imagine it may not be an easy task to command troops from a space platform unless he brought all the equipment with him.
Also he could just be on board and leave just before Tassadar rammed it, I was just curious if theres some official info on it

Hate to be a spoiler, but it is just a game, so it really doesnt have to make to much since. But I bet Blizzard said somewere were the Executer was on the finnal mission on Starcraft.

sense not since.
And I doubt Blizzard said anything about it.

If it were me, I'd be commanding from high orbit with my personal fleet at my side while the main assault force did its job on the ground.

And just to state it directly, "Executor" is a rank and function, like "Commander," not an actual name.

Obviously, the Executor as well as the Magistrate and Cerebrate from the Terran and Zerg campaigns, respectively, are flying around in hot air baloons while their forces are doing all the fighting... what else to explain the bird's eye view?

isn't his name Judicator? you ARE the Executor

They're in a bunker and there is a camera on a hot air balloon showing them the battle.

ElemenTT - what are you talking about? everyone in this thread knows you are the Executor.

Hehe ofc i know this, mate. That's what i was saying - YOU (meaning Executor/Magistrate/Cerebrate) is flying around in a hot air baloon some kilometres above ground... what else to explain the bird's eye view? :P

Actually, in the Terran missions in BW, we're a capitan in the UED fleet. We're a magistrate in only SC1. Haha, sorry to be a stickler there...just wanted to let everyone know that for the Terran...we in a kickass Battle cruiser X=D

No actually the Captain felt a bit jealous of the others so he brought a hot air baloon of his own to the Korprulu sector. His, ofc, was bigger (*****-ass-showoff-UED-captain-bastard).

I'd assume it's the same Executor in SC and BW as well.

Suppose the cerebrate is the same one in the two zerg campaigns?

PowerkickasS

i doubt it! the first cerebrate was pretty high-profile so it probably merged with daggoth

Nah not really, he was actually quite young for a cerebrate (created just before mission 1) with the purpose of protecting the Crysalis/Kerrigan, good chance that Kerrigan got control of him in brood war.

"Awaken my child, and embrace the glory that is your birthright. Know that I am the Overmind; the eternal will of the Swarm, and that you have been created to serve me.

Behold that I shall set you amongst the greatest of my Cerebrates, that you might benefit from their wisdom and experience. Yet your purpose is unique. While they carry forth my will to the innumerable Broods, you have but one charge entrusted to your care."

No one lied :P

Another thing I wonder is, what about SC2? Will the old executor/cerebrate/whoever be still there? It'd be cool if they were playable heroes! (well...at least executor, i don't see how cerebrate whould be 'playable')

paragon

Na I think it's better not having the players character actually be on the battlefield. Heaven forbid you die. Then it's game over just like when it was game over when your hero died.
This lead me to generally not use the hero units for fear they would be killed. The only time i would use them is when it was in the installation and there was no base building.

Meee
06-24-2007, 10:32 PM
I meant that they would be heroes, and you will play as another one. I would hate to have a unit that's supposed to be me on the battlefield. That's one of the things that made the feel in sc campaign - they are not talking to 'some commander'. They are talking to YOU, and since you never see 'your' face in game it's easier to feel it.

paragon
06-24-2007, 11:24 PM
Oh. Having the Executor would be cool.
I think the captain you had in the terran BW campaign is most likely dead though.
And cerebrates are lame.

And cerebrates are lame.

:(

Anyways, it's most likely be:
*Terran: Some random-ish captain/commander/military dude to Mengsk's Dominion OR Magistrate in Raynor's service, depends on which of the two that will be central to SC2 Terran Campaign. (i heard it was Dominion)
*Zerg: The Jormungand Sub-Cerebrate, the one who defended Kerrigan in Chapter II and who helped her win the Brood Wars (come on, without the help of the Cerebrate she wouldn't have won ****). Yes, the two of them are the same as you get to play as Purple in both campaigns - Purple=Jormungand Brood.
*Protoss: The Executor who aided Tassadar and his buddies in Chapter III and once again aided them with the activation of the Temple.

I don't think Raynor has magistrates anymore. That was just when he was Marshall.
The rest sounds right.
