View Full Version : Will Collossus Forge Rivers?

So, in the most recent gameplay video we see that the Collossus has the ability to navigate up and down cliffs. This is a pretty fancy little trick that i'm sure will create great strategy. I'm sure the Goliath style unit will be able to do the same thing. My question is whether or not these units will be able to traverse bodies of water. If so, maps like BGH will have to be made on space maps in order to keep the same dynamic they had during SC1. Otherwise you'd need to put ground defenses all around your base. It just wouldn't be the same. I could def. see this ability being in the game but what do the rest of you think? Should they be able to or are cliffs enough?

no, the goliath has short legs. i asked a similar question earlier. only time will tell, so let's be patient

Yeah, it's early. I'm all about speculation though. I'm sure the terran will have something that has similar capabilities.

And you criticize my posts?! Be cool again man, lets have a good time here, everyone is speculating, there is simply not enough public information about SC2. I'm thinking Charon Boosters should be a more expensive, longer to create upgrade. As well I wouldn't mind seeing a "Terran Spellcaster" that is like a super powered higher level Goliath Mech.

Should not be able to move through water, i think it would be really weird trying to defend the base.
They should also get +50 damage against Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise should be a high level Zerg unit. He will ride a Zerg Pony and throw creepy spears at enemies.

His unit type should also be classified as 'Last Samurai' and he gets the Zealot charge when Dynasty warriors come into view

haha Katie Holmes = Kerrigan?
Nah the waters are actually quite deep when looking at it so the collosus would probably be completely immensed in water if it does go across them.
They might be able to crush small enemy units

Water doesn't exist on all tilesets. What would it do with tar, magma, or open space?

I think he's not being sarcastic or something, he just meant Reapers.

I can see/imagine reapers jump over some "rivers" because they are Flying(jumping), so i can see that option.
For the Colosseum, judging by the size they make them it should be an option some places, but they might leave it out.
