yer being stereotypical jacka$$! Not all koreans are good at starcraft. and they also play WC3 too. The reason why it is not as popular as SC is because of the WC3's really crappy food limit. (90 max food? Aw come on!)

The food limit isn't even very important. What made starcraft better than warcraft 3 were the unique units, IMO. Abominations and Taurens are pretty much the same unit, the only real difference is their respective special ability. Also, a lot of the Hero spells were too similar to eachother. Like the Pitlords "rain of fire" (or whatever it's called) and Archmages "blizzard".

if u are truly good at the game then u dont need that much food
in the the world of warcraft 3 the units are similar but that does not matter
what matters is how effectively you use them

It think what made SC better was that it involved weaker but more numerous units. It was just a faster paced game than WC3, that and the heros being to important.

sc is faster because the units have less significance
and are weaker so therefore the game moves a lot faster
but it is the hero concept in wc3 that makes is unique
and the hero's gave rise to DotA possibly the best part of wc3

FAR from that, ums maps are sure one of strongest poinst and DOTA IS popular, but I wouldn't say it's best part, especially with many haters

it is mostly about the custom games

I totally agree.

Along with you, zenithar, DotA is a very crap game imo.

No skill needed, i think its just too popular that its erasing all the skill used in wc3 with weak pitty DotA noobs.

I can never find a decent WC3 Melee anymore. Sad.

I play wc all the time though in my opinion it isnt really that different from wc although in wc units die alot slower granting time for spells and the like but in sc you really need to be a goood multi tasker i.e if you are slow and waste time on large bulkier units the mini units will over power you whereas in wc it is about the skill of your hero use and lvling up there isnt really much difference except that wc has a butt-load of more spells haha!!!!

and then there is leavers but it all depends on what kind of host is hosting the game
or is this one you set up yourselves

lol we set it up by ourselves! and inside sin was with me vrs lord kerwin and ssjfox. The game was going well, though i must admit that ssjfox was really doing very well! anyways, sin leaves and i just got raped by fox and kerwin. Really crazy!

We used b.net. I dont remember the heros though, i think fox was some kind of hydra thing and I was something with chaos in its name vs. oblivion (trooper) and some bane thing (sin).

umm, it was over b net. And i choose oblivion ( i just found out about him today... yes i am a noob but i like oblivion alot!) sin used antropos. ssjfox used the venomancer, and kerwin used chaos knight. It was really pretty fun! mayb if we do it again some time u could tag along. I really want to do a 3v3. At the minimum though. I think ssjfox got lucky that he was by himself on the lane, so he had it pretty easy =P.

I used to play Dota alot on LAN's and on B.net, but quit after I realized that it took too much of my time. Once in a while I play Footy or normal games, but that's it.
