seeing as how we know nothing about the units, mechanics and the game not being out yet you might want to come back in a couple years.

I would say 2 words,RUSH and MASS that is the keyword for zerg, but yes i love playing the zerg and i never played anything else when i played SC1 i also went with the Undead in WC3 i love to play a race that is different.

The Zerg will have a higher unit cap than the other races. This way they rely even more on sheer number of smaller and weaker units.

The Nydus worm is also an interesting unit on the game where units can be teleported to places. But we are currently not sure if the nydus worm can "pop up anywhere"

Zerg are based around rushing and massing, so I think the stratagies are going to be rushing and massing.

I have noticed in SC1 that Zerg requires an unreasonable amount of microing considering their specialites and intended purpose.
Hopefully it will change in SC2.

if nydus worm can burst out anywhere on the map then it would be imbalanced. maybe it can transport unit anywhere as long as there is an overlord on top or something.

you cannot swarm if you rush. it should be
swarm and rush. then rush rush rush

Well remember that it takes some time for them to "deploy" when unburrowing. Also, i'd expect them to cost A LOT and not have very much HP.

When the Protoss attacked them in gameplay trailer they went down pretty fast.

ok maybe you can transport them anywhere as long the fog of war is disabled meaning you have units on that place or the place you want to transport is visible courtesy of the overlord etc.

coz if you can transport them anywhere even on undiscovered terrain it would be futile for other races. you can easily transport your units on enemy miners and whack them.

Yeah that's what i was thinking too. And ofc you can't transport them across empty Space (from gameplay trailer for example) or water/magma/tar/w/e.

The Nydus Wyrm will be able to spring up anywhere on the map, as long as you have sight there. Would just flying in a few Mutalisks (not attacking with them, just flying full pelt) into there base, then popping up a couple of Nydus Wyrms inside there base work?
Also, every team has a way of 'teleporting' units in as well as a normal transport. Terran have Dropships and the Ghost ability to launch in Drop-Pods, Protoss can carry guys in their Phase Prism as well as the ability to Warp In units that are within a Pylon's/Phase Prism's radius. Zerg will almost definitely have a Transport like the Overlord again, as well as having these Nydus Wyrms that no longer need to be spawned on Creep.
Every team has a way of using both mechanics.

this thread is useless, first we got an entire board for this and then we dont know anything about the zerg except the banelings, zerglings and mutalisks. we dont even know how the nydus worm works.

Please lock this useless topic up before some people come trolling here about some "new zerg units" they are going to use. ::)

yeah this thread is abit pointless since we only know about a few units. come back in a few months.

We know that they work will with Nydus Wyrms and can still Burrow, but that's about the same as in StarCraft1. In StarCraft2, even if they don't receive any changes what-so-ever, I think they will still have to be used slightly differently, purely because of other units that have been added to other teams. My thoughts are that Zerglings will need a lot more backup firepower than they did in StarCraft1.

Well, the least I can say is this thread will be useful if Blizzard will announce the Zerg.
Although I have doubts that the Nydus Worm can pop-up anywhere because it travels underground and it won't be possible to transport units on islands or places inaccesible due to pits or space.

It'll be able to find a way to get across floating pieces of space platform :P. Otherwise the Protoss Warp In and Terran Drop Pod will have a fairly significant advantage over the Nydus Wyrm. Maybe there would be a third attackable area between the platforms or under the water in rivers which shows its paths from Point A to Point B, although that would be a bit odd.
