Doesn't it update automatically anymore when connecting to battle.net with the game anymore?
I haven't played Warcraft 3 for weeks now, but I might give it a try again now. :D

Hehe, so you were playing with your cd inserted, but you didn't really needed to do that. :P
Didn't you notice that the cd wasn't making any sound anymore? It shouldn't check for the cd anymore after a patch like that, so if I am correct, it should be really quit now.

Yeah today (before i read it on battle.net), it seemd liked the CD wasnt making any sound!
And the upgrade is great for me, because my cd are nearly destroyed!

You should keep it in a case when not in your comp at all times.

It drives me nuts when ppl don't returns discs to their cases then ***** that they don't work. Not saying that you do this.

I always place it back into the cases, but i once borrowed the CD to a frined (yes i am stupid), and when i got it back, it did not look very good...

Don't lend to friends who don't put them back in their cases.

It wasnt because of that, it was just because the drive was to slow (4x)

That shouldn't hurt the disc.

I've never had problems with my old 4x one, the comp it was in stopped working yes, but my discs are all fine, I have had my sc copy for 4 or 5 years now and it is in almost perfect condition.
