hmm i don't know if this has been mentioned already because i'm too lazy to read through the ENTIRE forum. but i just thought it would be cool if they let you choose where you want to spawn your units. ( not rally ) because currently they always spawn under the building. i just thought it'd be cool if you could choose where like. if you were playing on the bottom of the map maybe you could make the units spawn on top of the building so you wouldn't have to wait as long for it to go to the top. or maybe when you do a barrack/supplydepot wall you could make the units spawn on the outside so you wouldn't have to lift the barrack just to get some infantry out. anyways i just thought it'd be cool i they let you do that. and sorry if this thread is a repeat.

its not that i cant wait,honestly your right it wouldnt make much of a diffrence at all but it would give just a little more controlability and micro capabilitys.

i bet i'd beat you at a "see how much you suck at spelling" contest XP oh and you need to use the edit button next time ( not to be bossy ) but people don't like it and will power you down.

i think rallying is fine. oh i know why. you could squish your buildings together, and spawn big units out so they are not stuck. and we should be allowed to select multiple buildings at the same time

Well The Protoss can supposedly "Warp in" Gateway type units on Pylon power so that's not a problem for them.

As for the Terran and Zerg? Nah... though it would be nice to see units come out of their respective buildings (i.e Terran Marines coming out of Barracks...)

Maybe have barrack units be able to "pass" through buildings that are blocking it's way? (This would be slow, but it would probably solve the whole Supply Depot wall problem... hmm?)

In WarCraft 3 units generally come out of the building on the side closest to where the rally point is. So, obviously this will be in StarCraft or something better will be.

Still not something that would apply to zerg I wouldn't think. I believe they have already confirmed that the zerg will still have their larva. Maybe you could say where you want the larva to be though.

We can. Blizz announced it. You can't click+drag, but you can SHIFT+click. Gives Terran the biggest advantage, but it's useful for mass training for Protoss too. Totally worthless for Zerg unless the Nydus Worm counts as a building.


EDIT: I wonder about double clicking....

I agree. Selecting multiple gateways or factorys will really help Terans and Protoss. That's one of the things I really liked about Zerg, the ability to in a simple way train a large number of units at once.

But how will they improve the Zerg? Increase the number of larva to 4 or 5 when you upgrade to Lair or Hive? I think they will have to do something, because Zerg=numbers.

This would be an interesting idea to test out. Although I think 5 would be OP so maybe just add one more larva once it gets to Hive.

I heard of rumor that SC2 building will be faceable in different directions, which would be kool but probably not gonna happen. it would make sense that units would spawn on the "door or hatch or warp" side that the player chose, make it strategical placing on where units should spawn. basicly what im saying is if you were to build a barracks facing the east units would spawn on the east side. if u built a stargate facing north by north west, units would spawn in that direction.

Being able to change the building direction would be interesting for that application of it but if they dont do that then I don't see why they would do the other thing.
