SC2 playable at blizzcon

blizzard is going to let attendees play a demo of SC2 at blizzcon held in August, hopefully this means they will unveil some new zerg and terran units before then, otherwise itl probably just be playable as protoss :(

Starcraft 1 demo was also only playabe as terran, and it was only versus the zerg, you never saw any protoss. Warcraft 3 demo was btw only as orc and versus a army of creeps (no humans, elves or undead).
Be realistic, why would they make all the races playable for only a demo?
The only thing I hope for is that it will come up for download within a few months.

i'm sure they will only allow protoss. or else, if they had EVERYTHING unveiled by august, the game would be out in like November

yeah , i agree, and i certainly hope that the game comes up next year exactly 10 years after it's predecessor-that should be enough time to get it finished, cuz 5 years in dev i think it's alot, and i also hope that de blizzcon demo will be available for dw after de conference:D

Yeah, I don't think a demo will be released. We are still talking about the game being in Alpha. I'm surprised they are going to have anything playable at blizzcon. It's fun news though. There will be a lot of news coming out of that i'm sure. Plus they will probably release a lot of information about the races that aren't able to be played on the demo. Maybe they will release a date for the beta.

If the Protoss were the only playable race in the demo, it would make since for the story to have it's campaign first.

We don't know if the BlizzCon demo will be multiplayer. The demo that the press bigwigs got to play each other on was stated as being different from the BlizzCon version. If it is multiplayer however, I am going to be totally owned. I have a lot of experience in being owned.

I read somewhere it was multiplayer. It makes total sense tho, since playing against a computer would make players adopt defensive tactics and mass for a final attack. (People eho play vs comps tend to do so) Player vs player is much more fluent. It makes people play and leave, play and leave. And no one can get hold of a computer for a long time. I recomend to you: Mass a lot of units and keep harassing your oponent. Also expand to new mineral clusters. I bet this guys will all try to go for the mothership, you should just play good old basic unic production.

So yea, I'm very excited to see what race will be playable at BlizzConn. 1up stated that the demo they played would be different from the one at BlizzConn. Would Terrans also be playable? Would Blizzard give us a huge surprise and let Zerg be playable also?
