I know this is exactly like FoRsaken's thread but I swear, I got the idea of it right before I saw his thread :P
I just thought about it and....all I can say is ''Diablo''
:)
All my pets can be considered as payment/part of payment and just tell me the price and sell me them!

Heres the progression
Assasin > Necro > Druid > Sorceress > Barbarian > Amazon > Paladin

My Hero Edited Amazon > Assassin > Necromancer > Druid > Sorceress > Barbarian > Amazon > Paladin
Although I do play legit, so don't jump on and rape my Diablo self-esteem.

Im sure none of you (even) played diablo online well enough to even say anything. You would know how hammerdin rapes all, and paladins are the best class. But enough about the game, there are other threads for that, so if anyone got a paladin for sale...
Btw Eon, I had a skellie necro and I can say they suck alot late game.

I'm no expert at Diablo but I thought Hammer paladins can't move and so are easy prey to bowazons.

They can move....They are quite fast actually, also with Vigor (a skill that makes them run very fast), and with Enigma (Probably the best armor in the game, every complete hammerdin has one) they can teleport instantly.

I'm not sure how well they work on b-net since I never played online, but my skele necro was nearly unstoppable in the regular campaign, the only things I had trouble with were the area bosses.

Yeah if you play online you learn quickly that nothing exists BUT the area bosses. Good luck doing Baal runs.

You are seriously disillusioned with online play, BoP. These runs (Baal/Diablo) are usually done in large parties, of which the main goal is to gain experience, not items. Actually, the main targets of the runs are the strong monsters found in the bosses' lairs (think Baal's minions). You wont really get much items when there's 7 more people fanatically clicking on the dead boss' place. Of course, you can go ''farm'' bosses yourself, but it will quickly become boring, especially with the extremely slim chances of getting something you want.
There are good areas to find strong magic items (MF runs) but once again, Its all based mainly on luck. Trading is the real reason why so many people with can get their godly items. Not to mention the added difficulty, increased and better item drops of online play.
People usually just casually play the game, and its incredibly fun with people to help you, of all various classes. Paladins with their auras, assassins with their traps, necro's with massive skeleton armies, sorcerers with powerful magic etc. helping eachother and fighting monsters (who increase in strenght and numbers) in very tense, exiting and thrilling battles. You can do all the acts in a few hours with your party, making lots of friends. You can always rush acts with the help of a higher level player- but most people always come back to do the unfinished quests and get the various missed waypoints. Rushing is preferable to get all the rewarding quests first and then fight on more even grounds with the monsters, as it is difficult for many after they complete the last difficulty.
Single player gets boring, fast. On the other hand, online, with many more new things to do (Including PvP) and 100% more potential for your goal, is the most common choice for diablo 2 players. Most people, once started with online, never play single player again. Of course, when they get tired of online...they can just play online alone.
I suggest to everyone who plays diablo 2 lod to try online.
Btw, Hammerdins, and Paladins as a whole are the most played character online because of their incredible versatility. No monster is immune or even resistant to Hammerdin's attacks and with so many builds available, its easy to complete every stage without a problem, as long as you got skill.

Where exactly are these casual players you speak of anyway? I haven't seen a single one. All I see is the second an act is finished somone drops a TP to the last waypoint in the act and you fight your way to the next boss.
You must be playing on a differen't Battle.Net than I am
---
Anyway thats besides the point. Skeletons don't usually survive all that long agains higher level monsters. It has gotten better but its still best to go with a different tree if you play as a necro. Skeletons are cannon fodder used for distraction not your main attack. Of course in online play thats all you really need but I have found that your so called allies often leave you behind if you stop for 5 seconds to summon more

I never said I only used skeletons. Here are my spell lvls for the skills my lvl 75 necro uses.
skeleton mastery-22
raise skeleton-18
raise mage-18
golem mastery-6
summon resist-10
revive-11
fire golem-7
bone spirit-18
bone spear-11
Yes I mainly use summon skills, but my bone spirit hits for 515-560. I never teched curses since I didnt see their value then, but trying to do so now would take too long before they become useful.

You should use curses, while your skeletons fight. Otherwise, you will end up with weak skeletons. It's your skeletons who should do the fighting, not you.

So you don't have Amplify Damage? Not even level one? How far have you got if you haven't met physically immune monsters yet? :D

Here, I posted this in Ximni's D2 chronicle thread:
If another class, I would say a Necromancer, more specifically a Fishymancer, a character who uses summoning skills. Its a very cheap and effective character, allegedly the easiest one in the game. Great for Single Player and hence poorer players. Gear is almost unnecessary (Yet good to have), people with naked fishymancers could do Baal, as all the fighting will be done with your skeletons. With Corpse Explosion, you will be able to kill masses in seconds. I heard a lot of praise for this char, as well as having one who could do act 4 nightmare alone with just level 54, and average equipment!
Skills to upgrade are Raise Skeleton, Skeleton Mastery and Corpse Explosion. Curses, such as Amplify Damage will be your main ''attack'' and vital help for the skeletons. The way my Fishymancer done it, would have put skills into Raise Skeleton and Skeleton Mage, with some skills into curses, that was enough for me, and might be better than the former suggestion, which is more centered at a level to do Nightmare and Hell difficulties, and long-term play.
For gear, a rare wand or one with extra skills into skeleton magic is preferred, the rest doesn't matter much.
Remember to put a lot in Vitality, as Necromancers aren't that strong, what also reminds you to put points into Strength.
Yeah, how could I forget, Corpse Explosion!! Besides curses, that's your main attack.
Mages aren't really used because they are weak, especially in NM/Hell, with monsters having immunities and resists.
Btw, 500 resistant magical damage isn't good at all (think of NM/Hell every monster having default magic resistance and tens of thousands of life). You wont kill a single Fallen. A single hammer from my Hammerdin does 10,000 unresistant/nonimmune (monster resistances don't affect it) magic damage. And he casts a hammer each second. You shouldn't try to mix different builds, just go with skeletons.

That's what I used as well, paired with amplify damage. I think it was with my poison necro because you only need a few points into explosion and amplify, so it wasn't really a waste of skillpoints to not put them into poison stuff.

I've wanted to play online kinda ever since I first started playing D2 way back, like in the middle ages or something :P My problem is my connection gets intrrupted after 10-15 minutes of play and then it's really hard to get anywhere... I tried to play online some weeks in July/August but I never got past Kurast Bazaar...
Paladins are really good, they can be great fun to play. I personally don't like the Hammerdin. I have one who's quite high in level but it's not really my style of playing. If we ever team up together I'd rather use a Barbarian or an Amazon.
When I've been playing lately (no very often at all these last months) I've been trying diffrent weird characters like a werebear barb or builds based on forum members. Maybe I should go make another HC Glasscannon...

Well, as I recall it we were online together for a while but we didn't do any actual playing... And yes it was when I was a new here, back in June/July.
I'm getting jealous of you now FoÂŽSaken. Looking at all those paladins makes me want the Kerrigan doll...
