Well, just read the space junk rules, some types of threads are already forbidden, like spam and pictures/videos. This time, I am also thinking of forcing proper grammar (Unless of intentional errors, u kn0 w4t aye m33n lulz) and also of making the threads more geared towards social discussions (and socialism *wink*). aswell as starcraft. Maybe make more general threads like spam land and picture/vid gallery. Other things too, need to think first >.>.

hmm... so... you're trying to draw a most distinct line between the two by stepping into Lounge territory? Seriously, Space Junk is for everything that doesn't fit anywhere else and social discussions are definately Lounge. Isn't overlapping on starcraft board a crime or a sin at least?
Either merge the two and just make several threads for typical SJ things while keeping the standard elsewhere or use Space Junk what it is for.

Another option would be restricting Lounge solely to serious disputes (like Serious business threads) and having Space Junk as actual social boards - which is what it is becoming anyway.
One way or another something has to be changed, as a new member I wouldn't like to visit Space Junk:

No minerals are earned for posting here. Use this to place if you just need to spam, advertise, play those posting games, etc.
and be penalised for spamming, which is what you're trying to achieve. I'm not saying you're going the wrong way, but the way I see it this is not how it was originally supposed to be and if you want change, you need to go further than just posting few new rules here.

That said, I wouldn't mind your idea of proper grammar being enforced here ;)

Okay guys. It appears the mystery has been solved.

There is a setting in SMF that will allow deletion of threads automatically once they have been dormant for 30 days. It appears that this function was set but was not working properly. It appears that it was fixed and then deleted all threads in Space Junk that had not been posted in for 30 days.

While they can be retrieved, it's unlikely that this will happen because of the site transfer and the difficulty in retrieving them.

So I apologize for the deletion of the threads, but I would suggest you just create new threads. That is, after all, the point of Space "Junk".

It wasn't junk, many important threads were deleted, junk, psh, all your other boards are junk compared to this board.

No saying it is GM_k, but someone would need to go through and "undelete" each individual thread at a later date (after the changeover).

I'll look into it, but I'd rather you guys just create new threads. :D
