How long does it take before a person gets infested?
Cause itll take away some of the thoughts that everybody gets infested, from dead heroes to whole planets.

You spelled infestation wrong so I just wanted to let you know.
Doesn't seem like the process takes a while, if anything most of the infested heroes retained their memories and wills, however the regulars' memories were overwritten and their will binded to the Overmind (or other ruling Zerg body.) Plus I do not think the Zerg would infest anyone unless they got some useful information out or are trying to heighten the latent psionic ability of whatever is being infested.

Well it took Kerrigan a few missions to be infested but she was special.

They were all other species before. The cerebrate is the only thing that wasn't and it's the closest thing to the original zerg except considerably bigger.

^ I've got ideas for that...
Ultralisk - Elephant (kinda obvious with the trump and all)
Zergling - Either some kind of dog or hound
Hydralisk - A snake (moslty a cobra)
Larva - Well... Larvas!
Drone - Some kind of turtle with claws
Defiler - Some kind of Scorpion mixed with a lizard
Queen - This one I have no idea though...
Mutalisk - A Gull
Guardian - Some kind of Eagle or animal that planes
Devourer - a fat gull?
Scourge - Little birds, like the ones you usually see around in a park or something
Nydus Worms - Worms, obviously
Infested Terrans - Terrannnnsss
Overlords - Some kind of flying elephant. Really.
And I think that's it... the flyers are way too tough to guess though, maybe they're just another kind of creepy alien coming from a race whose name is too complicated to say like Crakznakliehjktslamnops. And no, I did not just randomly bash my keyboard, that name was thought out!

@ Gorythax
Defiler always reminded me of some type of bug...like an earwig or something
I think a Gaurdian looks more like a crab than a type of eagle
Am I the only one who thinks Overlords sound like horses? :P
Other than that, I like the analogies ;D

Guardians aren't eagles, they're literally flying crabs. And anyway, I doubt we know what the animals on another planet, in a video game that has nothing to do with reality are.
Edit: I'd totally have a scourge sing for me, those cute birdies.

Hehe... Yeah, you're both right, they look more like crabs. I was going with eagle because they just seem to hover around, like eagles and falcons do. Anyways, the earwig idea for the defiler isnt bad...
Ah and also Scourges (for a more refined look) could be thunk of as bats. Kewt bats with a tubular mouth with 1000 sharp teethies just waiting to bite you so he can bash a 250 dmg in your face.

Zergling - Zz'gashi Dune Runner (I would guess this is lizard-like)
Defiler - a scorpion
Devourer - specially bred from the mutalisk breed by the zerg
Mutalisk - Mantis Screamer (an insectoid bat-like thing probably)
Guardian - nesting form of the Mantis Screamer
Larva - closest to the original Zerg
Drone - Gashyrr Wasp (a wasp duh)
Hydralisk - Slothien (sloth?)
Lurker - specially bred from the hydralisk by the zerg
Ultralisk - Brontolith (probably elephant-like)

hmm...i wonder why couldnt Zerg Infest anything from Protoss in the game?
GuiMontag

mainly because protoss die with honour :P
they don't surrender or cower in corners like the terrans do, also because infesting psychics takes alot of effort
