Anyone seen this new card? The second I saw this thing I put it into my upcoming build. 47.7 fps in Crysis at max settings and 1920x1200 resolution. 74 fps at the same settings in Supreme Commander. -drools- I can't wait. :D
Check out the specs here. (http://www.techspot.com/review/91-asus-geforce-9800-gx2/)

It's pretty buff. But I'm still going to hold out on my SLI 8800 Ultras. They're more than enough to keep me on top of all the games for this year at least.

Isn't it still cheaper to get 2 cards and hook them together with SLi ?

Usually, but some motherboards don't have SLi support.

That, and, even if I did get SLI, I wouldn't be getting anything higher than the 8800GTs in SLI.
The 9800 GX2 has a 26% performance gain over that setup. Cheaper, yes, but less powerful.
Even though it could probably do as well as I need it to, I'm somewhat of a performance addict,
so I'm going for the GX2.

Yeah. Too bad I'm not getting SLI 9800 GX2s. That would rock the socks off any build.

does everyone really need to play crisis? its only well known for the graphics though.. oh.. you should wait for the 55nm die shrink of the nvidia cards.. they should be faster

People want to run because if they can run it smoothly on high, it means they can play practically every other existing game on the highest settings.
