Orange Box Problems

When I open most Orange Box games, either from Steam or normal, they rapidly minimize and maximize, about 20 times. After this, it either works fine, or a notification pops up sayin hl2.exe stopped working. I have no more info than this, but I somehow KNOW that this has to do with Vista -.-

Any tips?

I also have this problem with Team Fortress 2 sometimes. What i just do is Ctrl-Alt-Del and you get to the Vista options menu. After that, get out of the menu and just click Team Fort 2 again. It will maximize to full screen.

I have Vista, and orange box games runs almost flawlessly. Sure Vista sucks, but it's atleast POSSIBLE to play games with it. :D

It happens mostly with Portal and Half-Life 2, TF2 works most of the time, I just suck at it and don't play it much

You could try verifying game cache files, althought that might not help.

Right click> properties>Local files> verify integrity.

did you know that orange box games needs a fairly decent or high system to play the games, i mean c'mon! the minimum system requirements is a killer even for me
