I can see this is going to be a great succesful unit for defence, and offense of course.

Love this unit, can't wait for the extra tactical options.. But I'd like to bring something else up: did any of you see the double ledge there, in the animation for the sounds? Looks like a nice terrain feauture. Please check it out.

this (collosus) is the most exciting new unit so far. the collosus excite me more than the mothership. 8)

Yes, it looks liek this is the case. Which is kinda stupid as the ones standing on cliffs look like they should be high enough to attack anything!!

eh it depends on your perception in how high the air units go. It could go higher than the colossus' beam. Plus they beams could be pointed downward only.

All that technology and they can't make a motor that turns the beam upwards? Nice...

Maybe they will eventually include an upgrade for it to have missles that attack air. But yeah, it is pretty ridiculous for it to not have any type of air attack ability for it's size. All of that machinery is nothing if the enemy comes at you with a bunch of air units.

Congrats on the 1000th post by the way paragon :good:

I guess the poor people they slaughtered didnt have any airships so they didn't need to attack air when it was first designed. Also, balance.

1000 post already. wow. good job. anyway i always knew you were the chosen one. a prodigy. hey beat _______ for me. and for your 1000 post here take this gift

and what would the war of the world map looks like? what part in the movie. you mean the land filled with fertilized human bloods?.. now thats awesome. an all out war would look cool on that setting.

i hope they will have a collosus in one of their cinematics in starcraft 2 with a tom cruise look alike cameo on it by the way.

I was actually thinking of the classic war of the worlds movie because that one was actually good (7.2 on IMDb)

Ah i hadn't thought about scourge. That would be a deadly thing against colossus indeed because they are slow and cant hit air. Only other air thing that can't hit air being the guardian.

i wanna see a guardian kill a colossus, and when it does, it shoots off one of the legs and the whole thing crashed... that would be cool.

That would be pretty cool. They've already got the different deaths for when marines are killed by zealots so maybe they will do it.

well its like, what else are ground only attacking units going to hit? imo its the only death that makes sense from them.

I hope they have different death animations for different attacks. Like in warcraft three they had regular deaths and explosion deaths from siege. But in this they could really take the idea and run with it.

like the hydra, rather than splitting from every attack, it could kinda writhe and coil up from a marine or ghost or stalker, but they get cleaved in half by a zealot or tempest.

if a tempest (or any other capital ship) gets killed by scourge, it should have explosions all around the hull and crash to the ground.

It's not the newest case but the one right before that one came out. It's black with blue lights. There are 10 fans inside of it and if you put your hand behind it the air is quite cool. Other computers that my friends have have like 1-3 fans and run pretty hot which is very bad for the computer's internals.

Like this except blue lights instead of red:

I hate macs a lot.

I used to feel that way too... then I got a great deal on one and comparing specs back to back with any other pc and I was saving $ so I bought one thinking I’d only ever run it with windows then OSX just grew on me and now I hardly ever use the Pc side unless I have a 3d model to make/ render. There are still more programs for PCs. OSX is just so much more stable and has less security problems etc. than windows. Unix rocks. I've been in both camps there are advantages to both. Being able to run both systems is just too cool.

Colossus should be able to shoot at 2 small units at the same time, at one w each of its lasers. Or focus both on a large units or a structure.

The folder settings can be changed in the preferences. Some people like the folders to do weird crap but I just like being able to run whatever OS I want on one machine. Saves me lots of time. Some programs run better on a Mac like all adobe products. Some run better on Pc so I’ve got both.
