people are wandering about the new terran units but how are futuristic humans futuristic humans without giant mechs?
how about a collosus type(so it counts as air and ground) unit that is effectively a mobile gun platform.
like it has mounted missles on its shoulders and blows away air well having an explosive mortar like weapons for anti-infantry.
it climbs up cliffs and is obviously too big to fit in carrier so it has to walk across the land?
thoughts!

I've seen plenty of human futures without giant mechs. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that most of them have no mechs at all.

At any rate, the Terrans already have mechs, maybe not giant, but Goliaths still have the "mobile gun platform with missiles on their shoulders" thing covered.

Being too big to fit in transports would be pretty bad. If they're forced to walk, they would be absolutely stranded over open space/bottomless pits/magma.

I think this would be a bad idea for the terrans. Facing the zerg swarm the last thing they would want is something even bigger and less mobile than what they currently have. What they really want is something more mobile and easier to produce.

goliaths are tiny and stupidly weak.

yeah what they need is something that hits fast and hurts, not something big, slow, and vernerable. the only thing a giant mech would acheive is help the zerg win.

it would be cool to be fighting with optimus prime and his giant shield and his energy swords and whatnot, or am i thinking of gundams? ah i donno. they would be cool but impractical however.

What?! The Goliaths are the ultimate anti-air weapons and pack a decent ground and pound game.

Would this is be the Terran answer to the Protoss Colossus? I think it should be called the Terran Titan.

i don't think they should have a unit like the colossus at all. it makes protoss distinct.

i dont think it can hit the same unit twice though. BC's would rape colossi anyways.

Any air rapes colossi just like any air rapes tanks. Cause they can't attack air.

I wouldn't mind seeing what a SC2 Goliath would look like...

Be right back everyone, gotta wipe up the drool.

This is indeed an interesting question. I assume you your question is wondering if it would do two attacks on the Colossus. However, can the battlecruiser actually attack an air target and a land target at the same time? I thought it was one or the other like in StarCraft. If it can in fact attack one of each then it would make sense that it could attack the goliath with it's anti air and anti ground laser. However, this may be overpowered and therefore limit it to only dealing on attack. And I believe both attacks are the same damage so it wouldn't have to prioritize.

BC's only shoot 1 projectile per attack afaik, not depending on whether it fires at ground or air targets.

according to infoceptor, BC's, pheonix, and stalkers have "independant weapons" that let them hit land and air simotaneously.

The Battlecruiser can attack one ground and one aerial unit simulatenously. This ship is doubly dangerous when swarmed
i think this means it can attack both at same time :P

Don't trust everything you read on infoceptor.
