Anyone here play (or used to play) Unreal Tournament or any of the Unreal series? :)
I used to play UT, but nowhere near competitive level. I'd love to play some UT2k4 but my current computer can't handle it well enough :/
Assault mode rules, my fav map was one with the train (high speed?), I could do offence in about one minute vs bots

I played Quake 3 Arena (Getting a new disc at some point this month) instead of UT, but I always heard it was awesome.

Yeah, I still play UT2004 currently (online, seeing as that is really the only decent way to play). Its a really good game (not as good as Starcraft ;D) once you understand it.

Lol.

Old classic game, with one of the best scores ever found in a game. I've played it quite a lot, really nice game. :)

I've played every Unreal game except for Unreal two and any expansion for Unreal. Good series of games, though I'm nowhere even close to competitive level, I'm pretty terrible actually, still fun to play every now and then.
i like the very first unreal tournament better than the latest ones. i used to play it in my dreamcast ad found out it also has a PC platform. lol.

ahha... unreal tourny... brings back memories. 2k4 was pretty awesome, but only becuase of the mission maps. i remember i would always play the one in the desert where you're on those giant trucks... it was just hectic and fun.

up at college, in my computer science lab, there was UT2004 on every computer. It was for comp sci majors only to play, and comp sci professors. There were like 6 of us that started off playing alot. Then, of course the numbers grew to where we would have our whole class playing. One time, we scheduled to play a match 12 vs 12 while a class was going on, not smart.
Of course, we got it banned from the lab for the rest of the semester cuz we were way too loud, screaming curse words, and blarring the speakers! Haha! I will never forget how much fun we would have, and will have for this upcoming semester. We would play the football, Capture the flag with low grav and insta gib(our favorite), and mutant. Endless hours of fun.
whoa that was sick! hey i had an experience like that back when i was high school. we were playing worms world party and every comp has it. it was real fun and we get to play even during exams coz that game was very easy to hide in the taskbar. lol. good times. :D
oh my, i'm going off topic.

Yea, it was so funny cuz like the head of the comp sci deapartment and the system administrator came down to watch us and they yelled at us so loud! Haha! I was laughing cuz they blew it way out of proportion! I heard from a friend that it is back on the computers so when I get up there, in like two weeks, the fun will begin again! ;D
lol. sly devils. :D its really great breaking the rules. lol.

:police: EXCEPT THE RULES OF STARCRAFT2FORUM.ORG :police:
I have the bootleg of the original UT, and I play it at school on my laptop in class and stuff
I'm sick with that transponder teleporter thing, I can't remember its exact name...but I would just play morpheus and run around getting monster kills by telefragging all the bots...for those of you know don't know what it means, in UT there is a thing where you can left-click to shoot a little disc with an antenna on the top, then right-click to teleport to the location of the disc. Telefragging occurs when you shoot a disc at a person or someone is standing over your disc, and because two people cannot occupy the same space at the same time, when you teleport to the disc, you frag them into little bits and pieces.
my left-click, right-click speed and reaction times got sooooo fast

should that say "exempt the rules of sc2forum" Im confused ???
But yeah, My friends would always use that telefrag trick, i nvr really used it cuz i thought it was lame.
telefragging is hilarious. sometimes when i see the disc i just shoot it and bood suddenly splatters all over the place.
@Nikzad
exempt the rules on what?

sorry, maybe I should have quoted from the page before, I'll do it now, and no "except" is the right word, but thanks for checking

XD. telefragging, cheap stuff.

cheap stuff?!? it takes skill, yo! you gotta hit them and teleport fast, be IN RANGE to hit them with it, and if not, GET in range while under fire. on morpheus it's harder too because there is low gravity outside of the little rooms by default

Haha, me and some friends somehow managed to link our laptops together in class and play DOOM for about a week until the teacher tripped over a wire one day. We plan on finding Marathon and doing the same thing this year, fun stuff.

Epic 459-day bump
UT runs on a household calculator so it's not such an exclusive game. Let's get together for some bloodshed for old times' sake, shall we? I volunteer to host on a 1mbit line, you just need to bring yourself. Anyone interested?
