Ok so I just finished getting most of the dog-tags in Sons of Liberty, and the kerotan frogs in Snake Eater...these games are so well made and directed. Hideo Kojima is the man. The cutscenes are excellent, the soundtrack is awesome...anyone else a fan of the series?

Oh, God yes. Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty is one of my favorite games of all time. In fact, oddly enough, I played MGS2 first, then the original, and I'm just now playing 3.
I must say, it's very interesting playing 2 (what with all the references to the original), then going back to play one. You get a greater appreciation for the events in the original, than you would if you had just played it first. Kinda like seeing Star Wars IV, V, VI then I, II, III.

Sons of Liberty was godly. Just.....The detail that went into it, you know? I mean, you can literally slip on the bird crap where you fight Fatman, did you know that?

Yeah that was hilarious! Also, if you look in the sky at the seagulls in first-person view, they'll **** on your eyes. Heheh...and if you plant C4 near the bugs in the flooded bits, then look at them when you detonate it, the bugs fly out and splatter on your eyes. I hated playing as Raiden though. He's such a girl. I can't wait till Guns of the Patriots comes out, it's one of the few reasons I'm gonna buy a PS3

I know!! And the Directional Mike is awesome! I mean seriously, how do you put so much random crap like that into a game!? Seriously!!

Yeah, like that bit after you find Ames, turn around and ya can hear our old pal Johnny on the crapper again! He's such a trooper. And you can point it at the parrot and say "you must be Ames" over and over, eventually the parrot starts sayin it too...man Hideo Kojima thinks of everything...I only found out these things through websites though, I wonder how people actually discovered all these things. Have you played any of them on European Extreme?

I should really play some of the Final Fantasy games...I've never played any of them, and I've only heard great things about them. There's just so many though...so many hours to potentially waste away :-\

FFIII, FFVII, FFVIII, and FFX are the best ones.....I myself like FFX the very best. Tactics also rocks.

final fantasy tactics! but there is this one character an old knight(brown armor) that you can acquire some part in the middle of the game that deals insane damage. it made the game easy after getting him, the final boss was nothing if you have this guy around. that just made tactics not that great.
even though i dont have a ps2 and did not played final fantsy X, X-2, and XII. i think final fantasy X is the best of all final fantasy. ive only seen it on tv previews and magazine (many times) tho. :-[

It's bloody epic (FFX). It's like....A multi million dollar blockbuster. You have romance, action, comedy, suspense, betrayal. And the graphics in the cutscenes.....
*Looks happy*
And Lulu....

Ok, sounds like I should get into this. Are the stories between them continuous? Like, if I get Final Fantasy X will I be all like "omg what's going on" cause I didn't play the previous ones?

Nope. All are totally different, though there are like "easter egg" type things. I was gonna recommend one you start with, but then I realized I couldn't decide which one. Just get whichever really.
Course, FFX has the hottest chicks, so....
