Map help

I downloaded a bunch of starcraft maps (deception. mercenaries, etc.) but I can't get them to work. Are they the wrong file type or need extracted to a certain folder?

i think your supposed to put them in the campain folder, and use UMS settings

user map settings, when you are choosing a map thers a dropdown box where you can shoose UMS

I know that some of the files I downloaded are .scx but the included maps are .scm

Is that the problem?

should not be a problem, just go into play custom then go to campain folder(if you put it in that folder), select UMS as gametype

I was checking around and all the Starcraft Brood Wars Scenerio files have a pic of a document with a planet at the bottom and a small red x in the top left corner.

Also UMS doesn't help it just says the file is corrupt or something.

hmm lol, mayb a bad download, just try moving the maps into the campain folder to see if that helps lol.

just checked my maps and they have that little cross aswell, so that isnt a problem

I downloaded them off battle.net so they shouldn't corrupt.

Do you know anyplace else I can get them?
