What other gaming companies do you like?

What different gaming designers do you love? We all love Blizz, that's a given, I wanna know which other designers make you excited for a game.

I personally LOVE Total War. Ever since Rome: Total War, I have loved Total War. Can't wait for Kingdoms to come out!!

OTHER than blizzard? Well, I guess I like Bethesda Softworks for Oblivion and Morrowind, as well as Fallout 3 which they're working on and Relic/THQ for Warhammer 40k and CoH

Possibly Flagship Studios. There mostly the former Blizzard North people who are responsible for Diablo. They are currently making 2 new games, Hellgate: London and Mythos. Hellgate is their main project, an action RPG and Mythos is a Diablo style RPG that they are making to test their online service. Both look really cool and are the games I am hoping to use to bide me over until SC2 comes out once they are released.

If Hellgate is all it is cracked up to be Flagship will be right up there with Bizz and Bethesda as my favorite developers. If they can break my WoW addiction I'll even go as far as to say they are my favorite until SC2 comes.

3.Their customer service sux azz
4.Dont test properly before final release

well ea isnt the greatest game publisher ever but these guys are

1. valve for,counter strike, and halflife sieries
2. Relic, for all those great rts games they made
3.and bungie for there great quality (which ea dosent have) game h1, h2, and the up and coming game HALO #3

Dawn of War, The Outfit (which people say sucks, wtf?), Company of Heroes and Homeworld. Probably more then that, that's just what I could pull out of my head.

And I hate EA because they took over Westwood and made the next C&C games not worth buying.

I really like Bungie because of the Halo series and Oni. I seriously cannot wait for Halo 3 to be released. The storyline is very intriguing. Another company I like is CAPCOM for all the Street Fighter, Resident Evil, and Megaman games they have made. And I have to admit that I like Game Freak for the great (although repetitive) Pokemon games they have made when I was an avid Pokemon fan.

Oh yeah... Nintendo. Enough said.

And EA is generally just a publisher. More often than not if you look at the developer of any "EA" game you like, the developer is probably a separate company. Some get bought out by EA but they are basically all worse off for it in terms of game quality.

Relic made one of the greatest space rts of all time Homeworld1 and Homeworld2,
but its strange that lots of people havent heard of Homeworld before because i here lots of people complaining that there isnt a good space rts out yet than i tell em about Homeworld and then they love it its pretty funny really. ;p

Black Isle blows every other game company - yes, even blizzard - out on the water. Good RPGs like Planescape Torment and the Baldur's Gate series can't be matched.

baldurs get was a ok game i guess it wasnt one of the best games ice ever played, but nothing can beat blizz, NOTHING........... well maybe bungie but thats about it.

Bioware... I loved KoTOR and REALLY liked KotOR 2. Mass Effect looks awesome... And the orignial NWN was a great game

Valve... for HL1, HL2, Ep1, Ep2, TF2, Portal... and of course CS:S

NCsoft... Guild Wars+expansions... and hopefully Aion will be awesome.

THQ...for Red Faction, first game from them I played and now they got something to do with WiC so they're good.

Blizzard of course..

Relic for Homeworld 1, 2, Cataclysm (not so much I guess), DoW and expansions, CoH and future expansions..

Rockstar Games. They made the Grand Theft Auto series, and my favourite game Midnight Club 2.
Softstar Entertainment. I really liked one of their RPG with a very stunning and touching story.

You know, 3DO and what not.
Valve still does a good job, Lionhead was good before Black and White 2 (for which I will never forgive them). Now I don't know if Microsoft controls them or if EA does.
