This unit is sick....It is unfortunate that it will replace the Carrier..R.I.P....but I like the design and how the beams align one by one. Looking forward to seeing it in the beta and how it works as the new "flagship" unit for the Protoss Fleet.

I just love this unit altogether. About time the toss got a siege weapon that's not as slow as a slug....still love the Reaver though!!

haha the article says that this unit will replace the carrier as the Protoss flagship. Although in the PC gamer magazine, they said the Star Relic would replace the carrier as the Protoss flagship. Interesting.

Well yeah, the Tempest is replacing the Carrier, but I wouldn't say it was replacing it as a Flagship...althought I was guessing the Flagship would be bigger :P

the tempest is replacing the carriers attack function, carriers werent actually designed as war vessels, they were command ships.

this thing looks so awesome. i love how like every 6 seconds another beam is added onto the pylon/crystal thing and makes the attacking beam bigger. That's a nice touch.

it doesn't look menacing enough or big enough to be a flagship. that things' downright puny in my opinion. Well, i guess it might just be the distance of everything. The battlecruiser also looks pretty small.

Yep, gotta love terran efficiency. 3 units, two of which don't even have an amazing attack and one of which that doesn't have a heavy attack can take out the protoss.

it looks so freaking strong, that beam could tear anything apart. But i think it might be a little weak considering the amount of firepower they might be giving it. And plus, i think it might be like the colossu, where it can focus fire on one target at a time, i cant wait to see what crazy awsome stuff people are going to do with this. Looks awsome.

like movement speed? carriers are slow. if warp rays are flagships or capital ships (deals heavy damage) then it should move slow like the battlecruisers or carriers.

Look, to me it just looks like a realy cool suport unit, I meen its prety much a super guardian for the protoss with less attack range and a cool power systeme with the six second=extra laser

But then again, for some reason all the capital ships look smaller, or is it just me?

6 seconds to get all three beams to get to maximum power. I think the range is decent for the warp ray too. Just imagine 3 warp rays... in 6 seconds, the attack would increase three fold. Like from 30 (10 each) to 90 (30 each) <--- Just an example ^_^

Its probably a capital/flag ship in order to symbolize the union of the "Fallen Ones" and the Aiur protoss as it uses both Dark Templar and Templar energies.
