If you check that site, you'll find a lot of pictures that we haven't seen before. But as I look more at the units, it sort of disturbs me. I'm sorry to say that sometimes, the stalker looks a bit weird and out of shape and the zealot does not look as brute and tough as BW. I mean I love the colossus looks great, but everything looks like the tanks shaping, which is quite odd too. Do you guys get the same feeling?

youve got to remember that screenshots never look much like the actual game, the graphics team have over a year to finish the units so I wouldnt be worried

They dont need to sound tough, they are tough.

They used be like huge tattooed bikers.
Now they're like huge tattooed bikers shopping a fabric store. You're not gonna mess with them, but at the same time you have no respect for their toughness.

I think blizzard will re-polish it to the extent where zealots and all the other units will look lik the escaped criminals that destroy swedish girls for having a bra size that is not DD....or something tough
but i agree stalker looks like it you hit one of the legs it would fall over

They will take as long as they need to make sure each model looks good, each unit is balanced, each unit is unique and usefull, each unit fits into the theme of starcraft (*uses the force* "You will remove Soul Hunters!")
Right now they are just testing the game. Wouldn't you test a unit b4 working on it for 3 months just to make sure it looks better than every other RTS unit ever?

so far the colossus is the only unit that stands out the most.

i like the new looks of the game in it's entirety, and remember it is in internal-alpha stage so as they said anything can change, the only thing that bothers me are some sounds regarding the units, the protoss don't have that tone that they had in SC 1, that kinda psionic-thought voice, they speak too humanly now
I love all the new looks. I love how Blizzard is making the Protoss race a bright and shiny race. In SC1, every race seemed to dark to my taste. I hope Blizzard keeps the concept of making the Protoss the bright and shiny race because it really suits their theme. Keep the dark and gritty looks to the Terrans and Zergs for the people that hate bright stuff.
The only unit model that I have huge problems with are the Siege tanks and Soul Hunters. Reavers are a bit wierd too, but I think they are acceptable in my book. Siege Tanks simply needs a remodel. WTF is with Soul Hunters on hoverbikes? They simply need to take that out.

i personally hate the reavers, the remind me of a worm that got cut up to many times, not a mobile manufacturing plant

yah maybe its time to change the model of the reaver or remove the raver itself and change it with a new unit which has the ability of a reaver and movespeed of a reaver.

A lot of the units lost their tough sounds (from what we have heard so far.) Take for example, the Immortal, the name in itself sounds threatening, but when you hear the Immortal speak... STOP! DO NOT GO THERE! RED LIGHT!
so far the colossus is the only unit that stands out the most.
Could it be that it is a towering behemoth?! :D

Siege Tanks look like Tonka toys! Reavers are not acceptable! Soul Hunters are the Silver Surfers of the Protoss race! Now all we need is the Terran hero... Mr. Fantastic.

Speaking of healing marines, I wonder what the new Medic model is going to look like. Will they actually make the Medic a hot looking model? SC2 units are looking more detailed than ever. I wonder what they will truely look like. Hopefully, we will get an answer at the upcoming BlizzConn event.

The stalker looks out of place, too warcraftish. I also think the floating crystals as seen on the warp ray, the stalker and around the mothership are too much like the elves in Warcraft III
(if the medic is paris hilton maybye she'll heal with a BJ instead of a lighter)

stop comparing things with WC3, they are both Blizzard games, so i find it normal that resembleses exist

it also seems to have escaped alot of people that it is the warcraft 3 development team that is making starcraft2

the game should still resemble starcraft original more than warcraft

and it does, other than being 3d, the models look very similar to sc1 counterparts
