Gonna comment on them as I listen...
Colossus sounds gives it a "HEY LOOKIT ME IMMA ROBBIT ON THE PROTOSS SIDE" feel. I like it.
Too bad Immortals say "Entooro Adun". Eh. And I've noticed attackg and whatg is for when you have more than one unit with the Immortal. Wee. "Our cannons shall sing..." GOD YES BLIZZARD.
Aha. Frikkin A. Scout entrance clip is the same line. "Teleport successful." The Scout fanboys will smirk. "On the wings of justice!" Yeah I'd be pissed too if my homeworld was attacked by slimy buggers. "For honor!" I thought it was for Aiur. Tricky.
"Clever." Was the only good line I thought. Stalker voice acting is meh. I don't find it Dark Templar enough.
The Warp Ray reminds of Aldaris. Anybody notice the final "yes" for the Warp Ray sounds like the beginning is cut off?
My GOD the Zealot sounds like he's having a roid rage. This is a good roid rage one. I always liked the fury of the Zealots. And he knows what I'm saying, "Our fury is boundless!" I could sit down for tea and krumpets with this guy. "My life for Aiur!" Just A. Juuuuuust A. "Honor guide me!" Woo. Blizzard is doing great with these guys.

Anyone else notice that the Immortal's voice is Archimonde from WCIII?

Damnit Fenix now I have to go check.
Eh. It's there but hardly noticeable.
FUN FACT. I have every clip in the pack saved and in one giant playlist. I'm a sad sad little man.

I want to see an Immortal making a sand castle by shuffling it's feet and then stepping on it...
...as a tidal wave with a surfboarding Zergling come in and crash on the castle and it's maker.
Eh? Fenix is a News Writer?

They are so corny. SC 1 Sound were just "affirmative, by aiur, on our way" these are like... too much "by the burning blade of the ancestors". It gets boring and annoying if you listen to them a lot. Some of them are pretty cool tho, but i dont want my unit to say "clever..." each time i do something that is actually not clever, like asking it to attack another allied unit.
Anyway, did you notice that there are particular sounds for when the unit is alone. And another group of sounds for when the unit is in groups? like "I heed the call" and "We stand ready". These have a "g" at the end of the filename.
Also there are victory voices.
Pretty cool.

the wierd prompt you just click yes, but i wiz'ed it so there was no problem for me.
Awesome!!! I love how the zealots are so ****ing ownage. Also the immortals sound... i just don't like them.
Also the pheonix is also nice. I don't mind his lisp.

I have to say that I'm deeply disappointed. Those sounds suck compared to the old ones. For example the Zealots used to be dedicated guardians of their homeworld but now they sound nothing more than some warmongering fools. :-\
I liked the Colossus, though.

I don't really like them. They're too smooth, for the Zealot especially I expect a really rough voice. I like how the Warp Ray seems more authoritative, but, as has been mentioned, it doesn't sound as "Protoss."
Also, I don't like the way the Immortal emphasize its syllables... it sounds like it's trying too hard to sound dramatic.

there's no lisp....he doesn't say anything with an "S" in that one...
???
The colossus is ok...i don't know how to criticize beeps and electronic noises
I like the Immortal (I think he is the same guy that did the Crypt Lord from WC3: FT), but his "En Taro Adun" in "atk_3" sounds more like "En Tear-o Adun" (as in "tear that piece of paper up", not :'() I like his "I have known only an eternity of war"....so badass
I would like the phoenix ones more if all of them had the same tone of voice as the "ready" clip (yes, they do sound like different voices)
The stalkers sound a little Zergy to me, their voices are kinda raspy...I liked the deep voice of the DTs from SC1, especially when they said "Yes?"
I don't like the intonation of the Warp Ray's "This vessel..." in "what_2" but other than that I like his voice as the new "capital ship"
Finally, I like all of the "what" and "yes" clips of the zealot more than the others because once again I think it is a different voice actor, or a deeper voice with the same guy. There is a slight difference in that the ones I like are deeper sounding

My Stalker and Colossus sounds don't work. Which sucks, cause the Stalker is my new fave unit.

And how do you know it's Archimonde? I've been trying to find a voice actor credit-page-thing online but IMDb just has everyone's name but not who they played

dude! the zealots sound exactly like Leonidas!
The corniness of 300 was the main reason I couldn't stand the movie. Everyone took themselves too seriously while saying and doing some of the most absurd stuff imaginable. Now the Zealot is saying stuff like, "None shall staaan-d!" in the same overdramatic tone. If StarCraft II is going for the same kind of appeal, I am certainly going to be left out.

Eh, I'm a bit iffy on the new sounds. As someone already mentioned they sounded a bit corny with their drawn out phrases, which I can understand. Some of the voices also sound too similar, in tone and phrase, like the immortal and stalker.
But sound is easily replaceable. When the game comes out if you don't like the sounds then you can probably just replace what you can with the old units voices.

Thanks¡¡¡¡¡ that was really cool....
I was hearing at inmortal´s sounds and it looks like if they´re tired to be alive hehe. One of the sounds says something like "my memory is not what it was"... its funny ´cause it seems like if inmortals were ancient old old protoss... Maybe that´s the reason for their name.
Stalkers have cool sounds too... warprays sounds,,, well too human to be protoss hehe,,, Colossus souns as metal-zergs or robo-zerg..

And the zealots trained for centuries just to die in a fight, they're not just random protoss that are sent to war like marines.

Yeah, the 300 only temporarily held the persians from advancing further, but they all died. I'm sure we only know about them because like they said in the movie few stood up against many.
Does anyone else miss the dragoon sounds, the imortals and stalkers don't seem to have anywhere near their sound.
The effects they used on the voice for the dragoons sounded really cool, along with the echo and the robot sounding thing they had this noise that sounded like someone blowing in a pbc pipe or something, plus their death sound was one my favorites too. And they had a robo cop reference.
The Zealots sounded good though, they still have a little bit of rasp in their voice and now they sound even more pissed off or determined whatever it may be.

Can't wait to listen to these when I get home :)
And if there's one line I'll really miss, and I know even if they re-did it it would never be the same is: "Carrier Has Arrived"
Becuase they say "Carrier" so fast it sounds something like: "JherYu Has Arrived", i really loved that.
I really like the Immortal sounds. =)

A little bit, but keeping up with the information helps us make good strategies to try out when we get out hands on the game. Others will still be learning what everything does. It's like starting on hard.

Can't say I'm very Impressed with these, the things that mainly bothered me are:
-Pheonix Lisp
-Warp Ray sounds like an unenthusiastic-terran
-There is a lack of simple lines like "Yes?", "On my way" "Commencing"....
-The "Clever" line is good, but I don't like the way it's said.

Viking sounds are horrible. Sounds like a real idiot. Should be more technical, like the goliath, since the viking is a complex unit.

Well if you read the description of the viking it says its a hard vehicle to pilot and master and are lucky to survive past their first fight. The Viking was built to replace the Golitah but that doesn't mean it has to sound the same, etc..
I personally like the protoss voices as well, but agree the viking voice could use some work.
