I have the PCGamer magazine with the listing of currently known units and Dark Templar are listed as them and one of the IGN screenshots has them, just covered in Terran blood so the unit model is hard to see.

Dark Templars are coming back, at E3 they mentioned that an Twilight Archon will be made by fusing 2 high templars, 2 dark templars or 1 of each so i think that's clarifies it:)

Even the name- Twilight Archon-> Twilight is between light and dark as we all know:), and Zeratul which will return for sure cannot return alone:P

Don't worry, Dark Templars as of now, are confirmed in the game. They might even have something unique that the original DT in SC didn't have.

I don't know if it's just me, but I think that the Dark Templars are going to have some sort of upgrades to them just like how the Zealots has the upgrade to the Charge ability. On the other hand, from the new screenshots from ign.com, the Dark Templars with their cape + their warp blades are looking soo badass. I can't wait to use the new Dark Templars in SC2. They were one of my favorite units in SC1 simply because I loved their theme. I always have a thing with units with swords. I love how people fought in the past carrying swords. It makes them look soo religious and mystical. Thats why I love the Protoss very much.

LOL!. That would be the most imbalance thing ever! Dark Templars with charge. But on the other hand, Blizzard stated in their interviews that they wanted to make every unit overpowered but in the end, it balances out. Haha, so Dark Templars with CHARGE isn't out of the question.

But that thought still scares me.

You can see the Dark Templar in the pool of blood with a black cape. Right beside it, I think is also a Dark Templar, and holding a warp blade.

I don't think thats a pool of blood. The marines under the "blood" are not dead. They seem to be stuck in a trance with their arms and legs spread out. Possibly this "blood" is a spell of some sort. Maybe from the protoss super battle robots seen next to the dark templar?
And I think that is batman actually, not a dark templar. Dark Templar would have team color but batman isn't on a team so he has none.

i dont think there is a dark templar there...i think its a marine but possibly a dark templar

On the official site, the dark templar cloak, however, they are shown in the video titled "action shot" to be decloaked by the end of their attack on the probes... Uh, inconsistency? or do they no longer have permacloak? Or... to soon to tell?

I think they wouldn't be dark templar without permacloak.

There's a chance that the DT just sort of appears 'n disappears for the controlling player, much like the difference in Ghost nuke paint size when it comes to you or the enemy player. I guess it only makes it kinda cool to have you be able to see your own DT here 'n there at least SOMETIMES, just the player, or else they could have just... not modeled anything. Like, just a super transparent clear thing. I think it looks good the way they are, and I'm sure they're still permanently cloaked to the enemy one way or another. They wouldn't be DT's otherwise.
