Even though there can only be 1 mothership in the game at a time, do you think there can be multiple hallucinations? This can easily serve as the best spy unit in the game, easily taking 600 damage or more before it's destroyed. Many enemy units may also waste energy trying to attack a hallucination.

This may lead to some very interesting strategies, but if a spell is cast over a hallucination, it is destroyed. Is it fair or not, what do you think? ???

Well ive come to believe that the mothership wont be target able by certin spells or it would be to easy to destroy (lockdown = pwnt) but flying into someones base with 10 motherships would be pretty crazy

Hallucinations can't do any damage, remember? Also, they took twice as much damage as normal units, so it's 300 health, which is still a lot. It's not going to be overpowered or anything, but why would someone want to do that?

From what we know of right now, Hallunication is not in the game. High Templars hallunication ability has been replaced to the Force Field. But of course, these are all subjected to change and we might see the hallunication make a comeback.

yea like ych9 says, hallucination might not even be in the game.

Also, if there is lockdown, I believe you can still target it since it is mechanical or robotic. Just because its a mothership, doesn't mean it gets special treatment.

id say hallucation should be in sc2 cause in sc it was fun to mess around with your opponents
such as
hallucate your allies dropships about 10 and put them on your opponents base
hallucate 100 carriers and send
ahh...such good times

well... if you hallucinated 100 motherships and sent them in to the enemy's base they would know only one of them was real so they wouldn't really get freaked out. More like plague the whole group and wait for them to die.

I think blizzard will not let them be affected by spells like that for balance... terrans would be really overpowered. Also, its quite strange already that you can lockdown large ships like carriers or battlecruisers, but remember that motherships are city-sized.

The halucination ability is being replaced with some sort of ability that creates walls.

I always found it strange how you could lockdown carriers and battecruisers too! Something that huge can be frozen by a tiny ghost unit...

I loved it when that happened!! It made me feel like a master saboteur :P

DOOD it be sweet if some unit could when its critically injured create an image of itself and at the same time go invisible....like there could be so many evil strategies with that

Yeah... and then you get really lucky by destroying the real one first lol. And dont say 'spell' this aint warcraft.

I don't understand, starcraft is about strong counters. Locking down a mothership might have a reduced duration, but if it was immune alltogether, well there would be no down side to having a mothership. No strong counter.

I'd say a 7 second lockdown would be fair (compared to what, 30 seconds?)

1 Mothership is almost unstoppable

Hallucination + Mothership FTW

There's not much a Hallucinated Mothership could do, unless they're for distraction or to scare noobs to quit. They don't do any damage, take twice as much damage from enemies, can't use any abilities, and die after some time. If you choose to use an ability while using hallucinations at the same time, you've just given away the real one.

a hallucinated mothership increases the real mothership chances of survival and causes confuzzilation.

although it would make more sense to hallucinate your other forces ...

when enemies use hallucinations on a mothership then you need to micro your troops not to randomly attack (<-which is annoying). then you need to spot th real one, that would be easy if the real mothership cast it spells, then focus fire on it.

i think this is not imba, because this can only happen in late games(having a mothership and tons of starrelics for mass hallucination) in which by the time you can counter it by having tier 3 units of your own and all tech researches skills are already completed etc. (<-say nuke em.)

That would be fun! MULTIPLE MOTHERSHIPS! You could just do it to mess with people's minds.
