Comsat..

With the new sensor buildings the Terrans now have, do you think that they will keep the comsat centre, or that it won't make a glorious return in Starcraft II? :-\

I dont think they will have the comsat ability because it has yet to be mentioned in an article.

but i suppose we'll see on aug 3rd (or at least find out)

I think the comsat may have been phased out by the sensor/radar domes.

That would kind of suck if they did phase it out, I hope they don't. If they do that means you would have to build radar domes all over the place, or bring a science vessel with you every attack.

Yeah, one of the biggest things that bothered me about the sensor stuff, apart from the un-StarCraft-ness of it, is that it is clearly an excuse to kill my beloved ComSat station. It's literally the only thing I use hotkeyed groups for....

With all the sensor things they are giving the Terrans, I would be willing to bet that the comsat station is gone. However, I can definitely see the comsat 'Scan' ability making a return from one of the new structures. I hope they do that - like 10-Neon above, hotkeying and doing an instant scan was my best friend many a time!

Comsat better not be gone! I would much rather have Comsat over sensors. Hopefully you're right ninerman13 and Scan ability will make a comeback.

ComSats were great because you got them early game and provided instant detection.
Plus using it to annoy my friends because I can always counter their units is priceless.
