Hey guys!
As one of the chosen winners of a blizzcon ticket, I have to say as the days to august draw closer, I just keep getting more excited! Here's what I plan on bringing to blizzcon:
1) A notebook. I plan to have an entire spiral notebook full of notes and drawings, quotes and interviews by the time I come back. I think the notebook will be my best friend at blizzcon.
2) A camera. While they have already stated that filming the footage is prohibited, I am sure I will find many interesting things to snap with the camera =]
3) a starcraft2fourms.org T-shirt! REPRESENT!
But that's all I can think of... any other suggestions? ... anything I should cover in particular?

yea man just write what you observe and snap pictures... like Dragoon said, pack lightly. I mean keep us informed with ALL you can, but definitely enjoy and immerse yourself at Blizzcon. Like when you are in your hotel room or something, type it away at our forums! ^_^

You should write down in your notebook all the stats you can of every single unit. You should also write down tech trees and such. All of this will be greatly appreciated by me =D.

You should also bring something to keep all those fat middle-aged guys with ponytails away from you. i.e. repellents, deodorant, knives, guns, etc...
Seriously though, do you think you might be able to sneak in a camcorder and take some videos? If you can, try not to get caught. A small laptop would actually be a great idea. Make sure you have an internet connection on it so you can post about things as they come. I'm too impatient. Some cash would be nice too. Who knows, you might be able to bribe an employee with low morals into leaking some insider knowledge...
EDIT: Nvm about the laptop. Apparantly It's not allowed. If you have a Blackberry or a PDA w/ Internet connection, you should take that. Stuff it down your undies or something. I'm pretty sure they won't strip search you. This is a gaming convention after all, not the White House.

If you have a video camera, then you shold bring it, im sure there are small detail that will be alowed to be recorded. You also can reconrd your self explaining all the info youve recived from which you can make more detailed description in your report to us. And who knows what other things you might want to record, its better to have it then not having it and regreating it. And do take care of yourselfs there...

What to bring to Blizzcon:
1. Psi blade
2. employ a few artists to draw each frame of any video footage.
3. Me ... Don't have a ticket but I'm sure the building has a venting system or a couple of toilets.

i wouldnt bother trying to bring video camera, if any video footage will be allowed it will be handled by the big organisations like ign and gamespot with their nice HD. you probably shouldnt bother writing down any of the interviews because this will also be coverd.
that said, play sc2 all day and then give us your impressions :P

Bring a bag big enough to smuggle in every member of this forum.
Guard: Sir what's in there?
Meloku: It's my toothbrush.
Guard: ...

well even if they are in concept, theres a chance that in a video or in gameplay you could see a glimpse of 1 more zerg unit, or find out how much banelings do, or how nydus worms work, its ok by me. just find out some small inkling about the zerg.

Then whats the point of these guys going there anyways? If everything will be covered?

its one thing to hear about everything from a magazine, than from someone you personally have been talking to, someone who actually played the game that can answer your questions firsthand. thats why they are going.

lol my post was sarcastic. I agree that fans notice more details then reporters

The big gaming companies will probably charge extra for the details anyway. *coughIGNcough*

I would recommend a second pair of pants. ;D
Though, in all seriousness you only would need a notebook and camera. As it would be a lot better than a recorder as you could take time to write down all the info we want, not recording it, then make a snappy edited photo to show what your talking about. Or try to illustrate the point to us of what this does.
