Blizzards new game

Its said that they are working on a secret project.

-How about Diablo III? The story was not concluded in DII expansion. However, I think that Diablo III would be a MMORPG (The old small party per game RPGs like DII cant compete with the new massive games.)... which wouldn't be likely, since blizzard already has one MMORPG.

-Starcraft Ghost? Dont think so, they say its a NEW game. I dont think its a Star Craft releated game.

-War Craft? The warcraft universe is currently being exploited in WoW. I dont think we will be seing WCIV also.


The most likely option is a Diablo releated game. However not even that its too probable.
Hmm maybe a 100% new game? Id say its something new. Totally. Un less its Lost Vikings 3D.

I don't think they will announce D3 just yet. It is most likely in the works but they probably won't announce it until after SC2 releases. Cause D3 and SC2 would basically compete with one and another and that is something that Blizzard will probably not do.

Y'know if it IS D3, it would probably end up being a mistake for Blizz. I never played the Diablos so I can't say I would be excited, but I know that the original team that made Diablos 1 and 2 is disbanded and working on Hellgate:London. It would also be bad for Blizz because both SC2 and D3 would be competing and just taking resources from the other....so there fore i still say its a new game.

maybe its ghost. for PC, wii, PS3, and Xbox 360. highly unlikely though, since there would be 2 starcraft games back to back.

Not necesarily, since Ghost is for consoles, and SC2 is for computers (rts is a secondary genre in consoles).

I actually have my money on Starcraft: Ghost. Those who are saying that it'd be off for Blizzard to be releasing two Starcraft titles I think it would make sense for Blizzard to be releasing such similar titles since they're on separate platforms. I would LOVE for it to be D3 instead, but I do think that it'd be kind of silly of Blizzard to do that given how much the games will eat each other up, and they wouldn't want that kind of conflict going on.

Subsequently to that point, it would also make sense that the two titles Ghost and SC2 ARE released at the same because they are of the same universe and it might in fact stimulate interest in one another to further increase sales. I mean, I'm sure there are some console owners who just love shooters 'n action games who just wanna see sexy lil' Nova prancing around (guilty) who never really got into the RTS side of things. But fans of Ghost will no doubt have a much greater chance of diverging into SC2 should they find the world of SC appealing enough. And vice versa. The computer owners might just drop a few hundred bucks to buy an 360 just to be able to have a refreshing take on the game that they love in a 3rd person shooter.

Soooo, yea, my guess is SC: Ghost as the new game.

Well I guess there is the discrepancy on what "new" game entails at this point. If by "new" they mean just an unreleased title in general, then SC Ghost could still rank. If by "new" they mean fresh game entirely, then SC: Ghost would be out.

If it's not Ghost then I dunno what. Might be fun to see something entirely new.

I'd be happy with a Diablo 3, I'd probably play the hell out of it like I did with Diable 2 + LoD.

It'd be nice to see what the talent at Blizzard could do with a next generation Starcraft: Ghost, it'd be awesome on CryEngine 2.

Arch Limit, I think the same. I heard something about 3 teams working on 3 different projects. WoW Expa, SC2, and an unknown one. Maybe it is true, maybe its not. It'd be crappy for the WC fans if blizzard announced WoW expa, since the WoW fans already know its coming.

This was discussed at length in this thread (http://www.starcraft2forum.org/forums/index.php?topic=1129.msg28171#msg28171).

There is three active development teams at Blizzard: "StarCraft II", "WoW: Wrath of the Lich King" and Team 3. Even after BlizzCon, we still don't know what Team 3 is working on - but clues point towards a new MMO and/or a new Diablo game.
