im talking about the terran unit frame or portrait for starctraft 2.

so do you think like we will have units portrayed and voiced by different races like in starcraft 1?
like the valkerye which i think is european (not sure). the battlecruiser too sounds not from america.

im thinking asian. lol anyway starcraft is HUGE in korea, maybe blizz will give credit to the koreans by letting a korean drive the viking or something. what do you think? but we need a bad@ss korean look or it will be funny.

since japan would be creating mech sooner, why not let a jap techno geek drive the THOR. hahah

how about a black guy driving something? and a new russian chick controling the banshee.

or do you think they will make them all american which is also COOL too since blizzard is from the US. ::)

I've always loved the portraits, though they look plastic, and Blizzard is widely know for their unit speech. I think it's safe to say it's gonna rock.

Valkyries were german. Thats why they say acctung and javohl. BCs were russian I think. Dont make any korean unit, koreans are not stereotyped soldiers as americans, russians and germans are.

but we should not base it on todays military setting. in starcraft universe UED (UNITED EARTH DEFENSE) and the terran dominion, i think there are no more different racial civilization and the military are compose of different but combined races. so every soldier is stereotyped in starcraft which also include asian or indian or arab marines etc. lol

or they could be just like extras or something (terran civilians). ^^

It doesnt' have to be just units. Buildings can have different portraits (ala W3)...

Black guys = SCV/Duran already, so it's possible for the Barracks/academy sets to have one, like a mean drill sergeant. I liked the original siege tank portrait.

How about an indian science vessel. And a maori siege tank. Im latin, but I think a mexican fits an SCV just right. A male german in the viking. Dropship pilot can be black, male or female.

Anways, I like the dropship being a female, the tank driver being a redneck army lingo dude, the marine could be black i guess. The first SC really nailed the portraits. I liked every unit except maybe the scout's portrait, but i might have been biased because the scout was horrible.

There should be no asians for unit portraits in sc2. There were no asians in starcraft 1 unit portraits, so they should keep that precedent. Also asians cant be relied upon to drive vehicles, without crashing them. Anyway, I would like to think that 500 years in the future Asians have been obliterated from the Earth by Europeans and Americans and are extinct by starcraft (save for a couple in zoos).
