"Savior drone" has been confirmed as a new Zerg unit. What does it do? It is 20 drones.

Can someone clear this up for me? does it mean it equals to 20 drones?

any other info on new units plz post here

Wow 'Savior Drone' ??? very strange, it's probably a upgraded drone where you can mine more quicker/ collect much more minerals each time :P

I'm thinking it is just 20 drones in 1. 1000 HP, 160 minerals per trip, you know. I think probably not 100 damage tho. haha.

Well all i know about him is that he is one of the best zerg players in existence and is currently ranked 1st in pro sc games with a 500 point lead.

i bet savior is gonna be happy, lol. He always seems sad though... emo :O.
Anyways, that'd be imba if it could carry 160 mins each trip... seriously.

My guess is that the savior drone would carry the work capacity equal to 20 drones to free up Zerg food for combat units. I imagine if that's true then it would also have slightly improved stats, as a 50 HP unit responsible for roughly 50% of your entire mineral income would be insane and a huge drawback. But obviously it won't have 1000 HP, that would be quite stupid too.

I really wish they provided just a little bit more info on the savior drone. I'm getting really depressed about having almost no Zerg info at all. And the one bit we have is more confusing that it is informative. I'm not sure if I really like some of the Protoss changes either. Sigh~

Savior was the BlizzCon 2007 Tournament winner, I doubt there is anything called a "savior drone" because Zerg generally do not give a crap about what dies, let alone a drone that saves.

Don't toy with my emotions, I get touchy when it's about Zerg info. So I guess there was absolutely no new Zerg info from BlizzCon after all, damn it, damn Blizzard.

lmfao Remy, i feel the exact same way. But i'm pretty sure that Savior drone actually is a rumour and hasn't been confirmed by Blizzard. But just think about it, how good is it going to feel when they actually release a bunch of stuff for us to see? I know i'm probably going to be jumping around with joy the day that something does slip up.

Lol "Savior Drone" is not a real unit. Its just a name given to a bunch of Drones, probably stacked on top of each other (due to 'clipping' like when you send a bunch of workers to a single mineral), all attacking a target like a single unit. That's why he says "What does it do? It's 20 drones." The guy who posted that named it Savior Drone after the best Zerg pro-gamer Savior.

Thanks Chris Benoit for confirming it for me. I hope whoever that ass is that started this all gets what he deserves.

At least now I can sort of be at peace knowing that Zerg ideas aren't notably more stupid than the other races'. But then again, this also means that we had completely zero new info on Zerg. Woe is me.

it's not a trick, it's tribute to Savior, the screen name of one of the best zerg pro-players.

when he stack all his drones in one place, it appears as if it's one drone, but when all the drones attack together, it can take out a zealot in one or two shots, hence the name savior drone. don't mess with the savior drone.
