We are not sure if the reavers are returning or not, but if they are this combo might prove effective. I think we should be confident that scarabs count as one of those damaging attacks that will activate the immortals shield. So no more worries of reavers being countereffective as lings surround the immortals and scarabs will take them out as well as terran troops with little damage to them. Stalkers would be the microers dream and chase down the opposing forces faster ground units that reavers can't chase or teleport right up to a tank. Once again it can avoid the damaging factor of the scarabs by teleporting away as it comes to destroy surrounding enemy units. Not unbeatable for sure but quite effective I think.

A lot of people are predicting that reavers are not going to be in the game but there is still some hope. The artwork trailer shows a scarab somewhere in there so hopefully this means they are still there.
I wonder what other attacks will trigger the immortal's shields.

I think the biggest question is "Will it survive a nuke?" Blizz has said, the more powerful the attack is, the less damage an Immortal will take, and the nuke is, without a doubt, the most powerful attack in term of sheer power.

Well, even if it can survive a nuke, having your Immortals survive doesn't mean that you can still win the game because I well placed nuke in your base or in your army will wipe everything out, so you'd only have Immortals left.
And I think that combo would be beaten pretty easily tbh, with enough micro-management. Judging on the new Protoss units, I'd lean towards Colossus, Zealots and Stalkers.

Heh, I dunno what game you're playing, but one nuke in a Protoss base....The worse it can do is flame buildings and kill pylons. And if they're nuking you, and you only have one base.....Well, maybe you deserve to be nuked.....
Lol, sorry.
Anyways.....It seems that Colossi are a tad over powered. Any one else agree?

No, because trailer and screenshots suggests that it can be attacked by everything (even anti air), it can't attack any air units and I think its weapon won't be too effective too units with much armor.

Collosus also looks like unable to being transport by shuttles & stuff (cuz its too big), so only phase prism, recall and teleport ability + its stalking over the cliffs can make it usefull on isle maps.

Meant to say well placed nukes :-\
I think they have to be powerful because they seem to have a couple of big drawbacks. I like that they can step up onto cliffs and the like though, it's a nice addition!
And I think Phase Prisms have basically replaced the Shuttle, there's no real need for it anymore.

I'm sure everyone here has watched the gameplay vid 1000 times.
Everytime the Colossus beam moved, a Marine died. That's a Marine dying every three seconds. That's the definition of "overpowered" right there.

Anyone notice that the terrans put a tank up on that ledge and it is there just shooting the entire time and the protoss units don't even attempt to do anything about it, they just run into the middle...

No, because the colossus was to counter masses of small units (and guess what the marine is...), probably won't stand a chance against a few siege tanks (even in tank modus) And like I just said, colossuses can be attacked by almost anything, and they will probably cost tons.

Marines look so dumb now..
And I don't think the Protoss will use a transport anymore, they can teleport anywhere they want with those Prisms...

Prisms double as transport, bc it "breaks down the being and stores its information on its crystalline computer"
