I really like how these matches were a bit less comercial and more realistic in terms of harcore matches. It was nice to see a heated rush done by the protoss, evne though it was only 8 muntes it was a bit more . . . real.

Also: Looks the the 2v2s aren't viewable anywhere now = /

I've just seen both 2v2 matches and I've got to say that Zerg is my least favourite race. Not because they have the lower (possibly lowest?) win ratio in the games we have seen so far, but because they lack a 'dominator' (couldn't think of a better word). By dominator I mean for eg. the Protoss Colossus and the Terran Thor.

It seems that Colossi are quikly brought onto the battlefield and Thors have the same capability. They are units that when spotted by the opposing player they'll be 'oh #$%'. Your opponent might have a perfect counter but still these dominators seem to create an atmosphere of, domination (I really need to use a different word).

Anyhow, i.m.o the Zerg does not have a unit in the same category. Ofc, that was done deliberately (quantity vs. quality).

Edit: Just thought of the Ultralisk, but I suppose they are higher tier? Someone please correct me if I am mistaken.

Actually they do have Ultralisks that are buffed INCLUDING a cleave ability that attacks multiple units with a swipe of their blade.

You just posted as I was editing my post concerning Ultralisks. As stated above are they harder to get to (ie. takes longer) than the Thor or Colossus?

from what i seen in teh exhibition matches i think they do take longer because the protoss got those colossus very quickly.

Has anyone actually seen Zerg win yet? In one of the 2v2 matches there was a game with Zerg + Protoss vs. Terran + Zerg. So you could cross out both Zerg players (theoratically). So actually Protoss won over Terran in that case.

Anyhow, Zerg do indeed lack such a (dominator) unit early game.

'the sound and video quality is bad'

That's why the Zerg player won ;)

that's a good way of explaining the Zerg Swarm.
