    I have:
    Herzeleid
    Kein Engel
    Mutter
    Reise, Reise
    Rosenrot
    Sehnsucht
    Völkerball

I could DL the live albums but I don't really want to, seeing as they are all the same songs

Sure do. Blitz is one crazy god damn singer. He sounds just like 30 years ago and looks BAD ***.

    As much as I like screaming/high notes, I don't particularly like MF/KD.

I'm currently listening to a couple of somewhat underground past/present metal bands:

    Raven: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QuTdnkDflmE

    Helstar: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vd23NXZMHdA

    Pariah: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8HbCX-KASsE

    Medieval steel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0q9Vzjefnik

    Onslaught: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOtmvSMMM_s

    Ruthless: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQmNNoRszKo

    Folkearth: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAKE_73S5x0

A great Bathory album, that sounds like it was written by a totally different band, is Bathory's blood and iron: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPIeQgfA6cc

This guy has a kick *** channel for old metal:

"True metal people want to rock, not pose". Cheesy as the band may be, this is true.

I've always put a7x as hard rock... I just don't really get a metal 'vibe' from them... Idk why, maybe not enough power chords?

They do seem to straddle the line between hard/heavy rock and metal. But I call them metal because most everything else I listen to is metal.

When I picture metal, it's usually something like iwrestledabearonce or Light This City or something.

The Human Abstract is less of the mainstream-y bull**** everybody complains about but I think is just as good as non-mainstream bands.

They just came out with a new single called Faunt I think. A new album will be coming in a couple months.

EDIT: The single is called Faust.

    Damn straight.

Off-topic, but I have to ask. Is that Les Claypool in your avatar?
