As I mentioned in my report I thought it was pretty awesome from the Zerg side of the ball. It really helps to cancel that overwhelming Terran production early game. I'm just not sure what it's going to do to the other races. We'll see if it's balanced or not. It didn't really make the Roach any more useful because it has been weakened so much but it's great for taking out Zealots if you can get to that tech. But it's sad that the Zergling can't handle Zealots on its own.

Yeah, they talked about ice worlds and different tilesets but no mention of unit changes was mentioned.

In SC, probably, but that might work differently in SC2, which we will never know.

Did they talk of other Tiles set apart from Standard "Jungle,Snow,Ashworld,Shakura, Badlands, Dessert, SpacePlatform" or did they mention any standard not coming back?

Edit Added *Space Platform and SC2 Urban tileset already known.

All they really said was that tilesets would be tied more to the planet and that you would be able to recognize a planet by the tileset more easily. :D

I'm pretty sure there's a lot of planets so there will be color schemes and terrain that will correspond to each planet as well as special artifacts and terrain like mountains.

My biggest question (and one that is still unanswered) is whether there will be terrain that is impassable to all units.

That would be a nice way to avoid UMS maps spammed with enemy defensive buildings, yeah.

Where's the MS created? Last time I saw it came from the nexus.
Does the dark obelisk do anything besides unlocking tech?

Hey Jon, was there any unit voices and portraits that caught your eye? Like even more than they already do? And why?
Could you click on a unit repeatedly for them to say funny stuff?

Yeah, I mean... I didn't go as in depth as I would have liked with the unit voices, etc, but there are some unique ones.

The Thor is still Arnold Schwarzenegger ;). But for the most part the units still have the same voices as they did in the original.

The Marauder is the same as the tank from SC1, Marine is the same, Ghost is the same, Tank is the same, Zealot is the same, I could go on...

@ Ace. I assume they're the same voice actors as StarCraft1, not the same voices. Unless that's what you meant by saying they sounded different. Not sure.

@ Willy. Haha, have you seen the Hellion?! There's no way he'd sound even remotely like the Firebat. Then again, the Firebat didn't looks like he's even remotely sound like how he sounded, so who knows.

@itza, well they could be the same voice actors, maybe not. But yeah, i was saying that the lines are different to sc1 and it totally sounds different too. Unless the same actor's voice has changed over 10 yrs...which can possibly happen

Yeah. Also they'd have better technology to have both better quality and effects, which might make them sound different.

Yes, you can occupy Xel'Naga observation towers which give you sight over a large area of the map.

@ The rest of you! The voices are different but they say the same stuff...

"My Life for Auir. I heed thy call..." Etc...

Ah..... Gotcha! ;) Though more saying have been added, right? For example, things like how Zealots now say 'En taro Tassadar', etc.

    What about the game speed?

My question refers to the fact that one of the most interesting part of SC, like it or not, are the UMSs. Most of these maps (for example Lotr style maps) can only be possible because of a fast game speed, otherwise it would be too easy to see the enemies trying to strike at a slow pace.
This kind of games are impossible to recreate on Wc3 cause of the slow paced nature of the game.

Did they do any reference to the editable game speeds on bnet?
How do you think the current build speed is?
